  1. Took Workman to bring Pham out of his funk.
  2. You aren't watching this one. You showed up during a Cleveland series and just seemed to be an obnoxious Cleveland fan. Now you show up for a Tampa series. So that leaves Cleveland and Tampa out. So that just leaves one possibility, the one I should have considered first just based on your posting. You are just a Yankee Troll. You know baseball forum etiquette is that you stay out of another team's game threads unless your team is playing that team. So why don't you just go back to your Bronx rathole where you belong.
  3. As if you would know what kind of year he was having
  4. So maybe all those throw-overs were not such a great idea Brasier
  5. Thank God...a player without one of these stupid nicknames on his jersey. What a pleasant relief.
  6. They appear tired and picked a bad time to let down into being a bit tired. Seem to have played like this since the Yankee sweep as if beating the Yankees without Judge and Sanchez was like beating the metal of the league. WRONG!
  7. Lyons batting eye was this good when he played also which is why he didn't play very much.
  8. Hope this is that last year for "players weekend". The unis suck and the players are some of them clearly struggling with this nickname thing.
  9. Talk about a guy that is totally screwed up...take a look at Tommy Pham
  10. God I hate this place. I wonder if our players hate it. The surface is terrible. The ball clanks off the side walls and backstop like they are made of tin. Just a ridiculous place to play baseball. And..I even left out the stupid catwalks!
  11. I agree that they are all tired in August. Thats not the point. The point is that most hitters are not even capable of hitting the ball where its pitched. They don't have the talent. But to keep the physical peak it takes to do it...that is something else again. A pull hitter does not have to do it. A punch and judy hitter does not have to do it. Somebody always going oppo does not have to do it and Mookie does not appear to have any reserves on that body of his that he can cut into as the season wheres on. What you see is what he has. I would bet that as Mookie ages he will become more of a pull or opposite field hitter, one or the other as he will still have the talent but will not be able to maintain the physical peak required to hit the way he does now through a full season. I have so much respect for his ability. Hitting competitive pitching in a high level organized environment may be the most difficult athletic exercise there is and he is doing it the most difficult and taxing way there is to do it.
  12. He is not a pull hitter. When mookie is being mookie, he simply hits the ball where its pitched. Pitches in the inner half tend to go over the fence. Pitches on the outer half tend to get hit hard somewhere. But hitting the ball where its pitched not only takes a tremendous amount of talent, you better be at your absolute peak physically from the tip of your toes to the top of your head. Does not appear he is at his physical peak at the moment and why would he be. You want to try to patrol our RF for a whole season and hit and steal bases. I wish you luck.
  13. Oh my God Rick where are you throwing it
  14. If Rick keeps throwing them where he is throwing them something is leaving
  15. What a second half by X. I refuse to call this year's ASB the end of the 1st half. Too late in the year. X has been nuts in the second half. THANK GOD
  16. Hate to repeat myself. Mookie is swinging a tired bat.
  17. Lyons...."we have seen a lot of Beni just not hitting meatballs lately". Well just why do you think that is Stevie? Beni's swing is gotten too big AGAIN and his hands ar outside the baseball AGAIN!
  18. Wonder if JBJ hurt himself on that dive last night. It looked like he was uncomfortable when he got up......or maybe Cora is going to try to get each of the OFers off that turf for one of these three games.....Beni to come last.
  19. He has not been going oppo all season. JBJ is going oppo. Going oppo has more to do with how you swing, not where the ball ends up going. Mookie is not getting the barrel of the bat to inner half pitches and when he can't do that that, his entire profile as a hitter changes. Not more complicated than that. Mookie just hits the ball where it is pitched making no real effort to pull or go oppo. But when he can't get the barrel of the bat to pitches on the inner half, his bat has slowed. We all know what he usually does with pitches on the inner half.
  20. So I was more specific last night. Started about week ago saying Mookie's not as quick to the strike zone as he normally is and that is a big part of his hitting game. The other night I just flat out said it...he is swinging a tired bat right now. Might not be just in his hands because of course hitting is way more than wrists and forearms. But he is swinging a tired bat.
  21. My God look at the surface in this place. its like playing on a bad romper room carpet.
  22. The thing that does irritate me about the Beeks deal is that the kid is in our organization and what are we doing...trying to rush him along...trying to get him to pitch to a ML sequence which he clearly was not ready for.....why....I don't know why. We have a really terrific rotation. So what the heck were we doing? Probably didn't know what we were doing. Beeks goes to Tampa snd they just tell him "look forget all this stuff about pitches in a ML sequence. When you are ready for that we will tell you. Just go throw strikes and work your way into an assortment of pitches....the End" Look at the kid!!!!!
  23. Didn't we play like dog meat last year during this idiot uni series? I can't remember who we played but I do remember us playing like absolute dog meat.
  24. It is a little tough when Cora sends his personal surrender flag out to pitch. But hey anything is possible.
  25. Kinsler plays 2nd completely different from the way Pedey plays 2nd.
