  1. Cora does get another bit of the apple tonight. He blew the first one IMO. Needs to review some Billy Martin, Earl Weaver video.
  2. I am not sure who posted it earlier but this is going to be a nasty off season. This team is leaving Management no choice because they have already left Management with its pants down around their ankles. What are they going to do in the offseason, tell us again that everything is just fine and the team is just ducky and spirited and they still believe in themselves and management? REALLY!!!! The truth is this team does not believe in Management right now, rightly or wrongly. Somebody or some group of somebodies is not going to be able to dodge that bullet. While the team has played waaaaaaaay below its potential this year, there was no reason for Management to have made so many stupid statements around the trade deadline because they were just cutting checks the team would not cover. So in that sense, Management has boxed itself into a corner. My guess, LaVangie is gone. Bullpen coach ....gone. Some players are gone. DD might be gone since he is a lame duck in 2020.
  3. Christ I actually feel a bit sorry for them having to play 2 today. Tonight is shaping up as a disaster.
  4. Yup....but you could see how that would happen because Sale is Sale and German is German and this ump is this ump. The quality of the two pitchers is not so much in question as their styles of pitching. If Sale was on today, he would still be in trouble with this ump. That said, there is no excuse for Sale losing it completely out there. He imploded when he good mad and tried to get 95-96 on that FB. He blew up and now he is gone and we are down 9-2 and if we were not toast before today we will be toast by Sunday night.
  5. Whatever makes you happy Jacko. The Sox are on a bender and the Yankmees have hit them at the right time for this series.
  6. I don't often agree with Jacko but in this case, I think what he is saying is that German was bound to benefit from this HP ump. We have seen German before. Where does he pitch? Where is Sale trying to land his FB today when he throws it?
  7. I would shut him down at some point in the next couple of weeks unless he is suddenly pitching much better. We are going to get swept out of this series and we are already circling the drain. He needs a couch, a good therapist and a complete reset on his pitching approach.
  8. So I was too far away to hear it all but apparently Mookie did make a rather negative comment about Management not making any additions at the trade deadline....once again leaving Management with its pants around its ankles claiming that the team was all good with it.
  9. Ah.... the warmth of a good bourbon on ice wafting up through mint. Medicinal purposes only of course. This had the added advantage of missing the entire top of the inning while mixing it.
  10. OK...time to break out the Bourbon at 2:45. I usually don't do this so early especially on Saturday with my kids around the house. "DAAAAAAAAAD". "Leave me alone. I'm still your father"!
  11. I forgot to add this so quoted my own post. Imagine that though.....MLB NEEDS Joe West!!!!!!!
  12. I know that MLB let the old umps stay in the game too long and then when they all retired or were pushed out all at once, that turned out to be another WHOOPS by MLB because that is where all these shitheads came from. Probably the reason they still allow Joe West to wander around out there getting in the way of things.
  13. See! Embarrassing Domingo. That was JBJ....embarrassing.
  14. Well there is a chance. German might have forgotten how to pitch, that half inning was so long.
  15. Oh yea...Brewer the king of spin rate and velocity off the bat.
  16. Somebody needs to teach Alex how to get tossed and somebody needs to teach Chris how to act on the field when you are no longer the God of pitching. Yes, I agree, this will be an interesting couple of years with Price and Sale.
  17. Notice this all started when Sale started to try to rip 95-96 on that FB.
  18. Sorry display of managerial outrage there Alex. Ya' gotta' kick some dirt on the guy....Spit at his feet and tell him you were trying to clean off the dirt you got on his shoes. Really get your money's worth.
  19. German dinking and dunking us again.
  20. Lurch not seeing baseball. Lurch not happy.
  21. Sale did get that 2 seam past Gardner. No LH hitter should hit high heat as well as Gardner does......the prick. A bit surprised Sale got that past him.
  22. Sandy goes "you gotta' make that play on me.....ME!!!!
