    20 pitches the first inning but averaging 15 pitches the next two. Hopefully we can put up a few more insurance runs before Sale leaves the game. Definitely not comfortable with 3-0 lead if the bullpen comes in the 6th inning.

    True. This team can worry about Pom after this season. All I care about is that he doesn't sniff the field through the playoffs. Even if we have an 8 run lead I still don't want to see him.

    The one thing I will say about Poms is he seems to be a passionate player. There are some players that honestly wouldn't give a s*** if they got that contract and sucked. Happens all the time in NFL with young QB'S. (Brock Osweiler) But Poms legit looks so upset with himself after every start that he can't pitch to what he wants. I'm not saying I know the guy, but he looks like he really cares and it bothers him how he is pitching this year. Hopefully he gets it figured out eventually with whatever team he happens to land on.

    Very true! As much wasted money as it is we just can't risk it. The guy had so many chances to show signs he could be ready come playoff time but there was absolutely nothing there.

    Good point. He also had a couple bad calls. I thought the one was a strike before he walked him but was called a ball.

    Looking like one of those games where a 2 run lead is safe. Oakland seems to be an all or nothing team with runs. Scores them in chunks. Yankees starter did a good job shutting the bats down tonight.
