  1. Agreed. After watching the Islanders smack around the Pens last night, it was enough to get me to cheer for them.
  2. As a Senators fan I will enjoy this series. Could care less who wins just hope for a great series. On paper the Bruins should win this series once again but for some reason these two just seem to bring out the best in each other. Should go to game 6 at least.
  3. I was nervous and excited all at the same time. They handled the pressure very nice in the post season so part of me thought one of them would make a great closer. They are the least of the concern on this team right now.
  4. I'll be hoping for a win tonight. Won't be watching as I'll be watching Leafs vs Bruins. Hope the sox can get their s*** together. Haven't overly given me a reason to watch them instead of NHL playoffs but that's just me.
  5. They are extremely lucky they are Canada's only baseball team otherwise their attendance would be even worse than that. 2 playoff appearances in 25 years is beyond embarrassing for any team. As long as they still get decent attendance and sell merch (which they do) they won't change management or huge roster changes. Fans seem ok with it for the most part. Sox fans on the other hand are used to winning the last 15 years so starting a season 3-9 doesn't sit well. But I do agree if the Jays started the season 3-9 they would be booed out of their stadium as well. No fan likes to watch their team play s***** regardless of a World Series win or not. In fact it's more embarrassing how bad we are playing because we do have so much talent. Jays have a better record than we do, and they are dog s*** for the most part other than their starting rotation.
  6. As they should. All my buddies who are Jays fans don't get it...... They have been texting me telling me to grow up for being upset after they won a World Series. Winning a World Series is great don't get me wrong but that doesn't justify starting the season 3 and bloody 9 with one of (if not the) worst rotation in the entire league. They are Jays fans so they are just happy with even competing for a playoff spot. Making the playoffs twice in 25 years will do that to a fan base.
  7. Ya this start also took a lot of the fun out of getting the World Series rings. I mean I wouldn’t change it for the world winning the World Series in such dominant fashion last year. But still
  8. K..... so just crushing my hopes of any sort of streak then.
  9. To me it’s more less just the principle of it. Doesn’t matter if it’s Tampa, Baltimore or Toronto in first. Point is we are 6 games out and not really showing much of an improvement. Starting rotation is 0-8. But yes If we don’t pick it up we will be dead last. Not overly worried about the Yankees hitting a stride when we can’t even beat the Jays.
  10. Tampa is definitely playing better than I thought. If they keep cruising we won’t catch them. 6 games out. We will have to sweep at least a couple straight series to get back in it. If we can’t even beat the Jays then I’m not sure who we can sweep. Maybe the White Sox?
  11. Maybe an overreaction from me. But dead last in the division at 3-9 and 6 games out of first. I would say we are in deep doodoo now. We also just lost to one of the worst teams in baseball who were sitting in the bottom 4 offense. With our “Ace” pitching. Literally don’t have words. As bad as it gets right now.
  12. I’ll second this.
  13. Dead last in the division. Offense is fine. Bullpen isn’t too bad. This rotation continues to kill us. Better luck tomorrow.
  14. The offense must be shaking their heads. Only so much they can do.
  15. This offense can do some pretty amazing things.
  16. I stand corrected. Let’s go!!!! One more to tie this. Preferably two more.
  17. Agreed! We are sitting I think around 13 right now in batting. The offense and bullpen has definitely been good enough to have a solid record. If the starting rotation was even half decent we would be pretty good right now. This is about as bad of a start from a Red Sox rotation I’ve ever seen. If they can get their s*** together we can get on a run. However we are now going to be 6 games down from Tampa. Early yes. But this is a bit hole to climb out of.
  18. Comeback is looking in doubt.
  19. NHL playoffs start for me! Granted my Senators didn't make it there will be some very enjoyable games. Maple Leafs vs Bruins will be a good one, and Jets vs Blues will be physical. And a small part of me hoping Columbus and Carolina can get huge upsets over Tampa and Washington lol.
  20. That just made the comeback a bit harder.
  21. Lol!! He can make some ridiculous strong throws and nice plays. But I agree with you!
  22. Sad thing is, our offense still isn't that bad. We aren't where we were last season but we are right around average to above average in terms of scoring and hits. If we had even slightly above average pitching we would be sitting with a pretty decent record. The pitching has absolutely killed us.
  23. Agreed. I think we are in the bottom 5 for pitching. Just won't win many games like that. Unreal to think we had one of the best rotations in the league a season ago to being a bottom 5 toilet rotation through the first 12 games this season. And our bullpen for the most part has been excellent. It's all starting rotation.
  24. Down 2..... Can still take this.
