  1. Sale loving that slider today. Mixing it up pretty good but seems to be working pretty good.
  2. Agreed, but I will take it. With Sale burning out in the second half of the season maybe this is what he needs to do. Calm, cool, collective, take his time and mix in a lot of pitches rather than bang bang superman fastball. If he can give us games like this I have no doubt we win pretty much every one of his starts as long as the offense keeps doing what they are doing.
  3. So much for Sale getting a shutout game. At least he has 8 strike outs, but still seems he doesn't quite have his stuff. His fastball seems to still be around 90-92. I still think he is hiding an injury but hard to tell.
  4. Any god damn time I ask how is Sale doing I swear he starts giving up runs????? What in the actual f**k!!!!!
  5. Can't tell if that is sarcasm or not...... He definitely has quite a few pitches but just the 1 hit so far doesn't seem that bad. If he can make it through 5 innings with 0 runs that progress for Sale lol.
  6. Reading the posts, looks like the offense is off to a slow start but 2-0 lead I will take it! How is Sale looking? Stat wise, he looks like he is having an awesome day so far.
  7. Holy s***, you're obviously new around here and I have no clue who you are...... But the hate you have for Porcello is utterly ridiculous...... First of all: The CY Young season has been discussed many times on this board, you aren't hurting anyone's feelings by saying "Another pitcher deserved it" That is totally fair, and to be perfectly honest..... I was actually pretty stunned when Porcello won the award. I definitely thought guys like Verlander & Kluber had just as much of a shot if not more to win it as they were fantastic.... HOWEVER what the hell does that have to do with anything? Porcello was absolutely outstanding that season and was no doubt in the question for the award. You are basically saying "Porcello was very good that year, but he got an award he shouldn't have which by the way was in no way his fault, there for I HATE him) I don't understand that what so ever.... Regardless moving on Second: Who really would take Porcello's place? 4 years ago Porcello was the CY Young award winner, and last season he was very good. He struggled down the stretch but he started the season red hot. I think his first 8 out of 9 starts he gave up 3 runs or less. He went 33 starts last season and finished with an ERA of 4.28 which seemed a lot worse than it was because he had 3 very bad games last season 2 of which were against the Jays where he was absolutely crushed inside of just a couple innings and I think another was against the Guardians where he gave up another 5 runs. Outside of 3 or 4 bad games he was rock solid all season and very consistent. That is not an easy find in a pitcher especially if Porcello is willing to take a discount. This season Porcello started slow but the entire rotation did so I'm not going to touch on that too much as he was very solid his last start. Im not saying we are stupid if Porcello walks, but I think at the right price he is consistent enough to keep and as many have said on here you can usually count on Porcello to give you 6 plus innings every time he is out. Or.... you let him walk and possibly sign another pitcher at a decent chunk of money and risk him being exactly like Porcello or sucking even more... Keep in mind it seems to be a curse over the last decade (NFL, NHL, MLB, NBA) with these massive contract signings turning out to be utter garbage. I think Chris Sale is the exception...... however he isn't exactly proving me wrong this season either.
  8. Guess it depends who takes his place? I am curious to see how the rotation manages without Eovaldi for the next month or two. It's a tough question to answer with Porcello if he is worth the money or not. He is definitely one of the streakiest pitchers in the league..... When he is on like he was against Tampa you know he will give you 6 plus innings and give you a chance to win the game, unfortunately when he is off like he was to start the season he pretty much costs you the game before the 3rd inning. I would like to see Porcello stay but for the right price. I am very curious what discount he offered.
  9. May fake an injury so I can go home and watch Sale dominate Detroit...... Damn double headers.
  10. When is Johnson expected back? My bad if it’s been posted before. Haven’t heard.
  11. Just saw. This sucks. Guess the bullpen goes in his spot. They have been good. Not worried.
  12. Dammit. Messing with our mojo delaying this game!
  13. We May never lose again!!
  14. Lets go Sale!!! The rotation is turning it around. Your turn now!
  15. That is a sweeeeeeep!!!!!!!!!!
  16. Sacrifice fly!!!!!! Just don’t blow this pitching!!
  17. Come on!!!!! Make this count!
  18. Thoroughly out played the Leafs. Been a good series. Without Anderson though the Leafs wouldn’t have had a chance in this series. He has been incredible.
  19. Up to this offense to win this one!
  20. A sweep over the division leader would definitely go a long way! Need to get through these two innings though.
  21. Bruins up 3-1. In dominating fashion. Leafs have one shot in the second period lmao.
  22. Not a bad day for Price. Offense has us the lead. Up to the bullpen to sustain this now. With a couple insurance runs wouldn’t hurt of course.
  23. Figured we would struggle against this pitcher. Price hasn’t been bad at all but was hoping he would give us a shut out. What can you do.
