  1. Any chance Wright is moved to the starting rotation?
  2. Eovaldi deserves the chance. I’m sure he will do well only thing is he might be rusty.
  3. It makes sense given how desperate we are to have a closer. Curious who will fit in the 5th role. God knows these "bullpen" days have not been good. Though.... was it Johnson who went 5 innings a week or two ago and was pretty solid? He probably could have gone 6 actually. Regardless we need a starter and at least another 2 relievers.
  4. Wow.... that’s sad. Suicide or drugs likely.
  5. Agreed. Used to be Barnes. He’s ruined now.
  6. If Wright stays in the pen. We have him and Brewer. No idea what’s happened to Barnes. He used to be solid outside of closing. Now he seems to be trash everywhere. Maybe his confidence is gone. But we could have had 3 decent relievers and then make a splash to get a couple more and we would be set. But Barnes has sucked so we need at least 2 or 3 relievers now. And still someone who can close.
  7. Brewer has been good. That’s about it lol.
  8. We don’t need to add much. Jesus why do people think we need to add a bunch. The starting rotation stays as is. Sale, Price, Porcello, E-Rod are fine. Wright is pitching now. Once we get Eovaldi back. Maybe we need a couple relievers that’s it. The offense did more than their part this weekend to win and the bullpen blew it completely. We beat Minnesota earlier and if not for a collapse in game two would have swept them. Add a couple relievers and we are fine. No need to make “BIG CHANGES”
  9. Exactly. Even sale has been s*** his last two starts.
  10. Missing playoffs is a bust to me for sure. Going from what we did last year to not even making playoffs is insane. Making playoffs and losing a hard fought series to the Yankees wouldn’t be a bust in my opinion. If our bullpen was half respectable we sweep them this weekend. Offense was more than good enough.
  11. Season is not over. The season sucks but it’s not over. When you’re only 2 games out of a playoff spot the season isn’t over. Yankees are better than us no doubt but that doesn’t mean the season is over.
  12. The Yankees are a better team than us there is no question but Houston looks lousy and we split a series against Texas and won against Minnesota. The farm team might not be that good but considering this year it shouldn’t have mattered. We had enough talent on paper to compete and make playoffs. I still stand by my original statement. With Sale on his A game we can beat anyone in a wild card game. Tampa, Texas, Oakland etc. This bullpen and our horrendous start to the season is what killed us. With Wright pitching now and eventually get Eovaldi back and if we could get even a 1 or 2 relievers we would be a good team. The offense more than did their part this weekend but Porcello and the bullpen were a joke. It’s actually amazing given how bad we have played we are only 2.5 games from a playoff spot. Still a lot of season left. There have been ups and downs and there are some that think we need an entirely different roster and big changes. Honestly a couple decent relievers and this team would be in a playoff spot by a long way. Also us not being as good as the Yankees this year is not an insult. The Yankees are damn good. Nobody other than maybe the Dodgers looks close to them. Same as us last year. We steam rolled everyone in the playoffs. We are 1-6 against the Yanks. They own us this year. That’s about the only team that I would put money on beating us this year. Maybe a healthy Houston team but they haven’t looked good at all lately. I still take our chances against Minnesota, Tampa and Texas. And that’s with our atrocious bullpen.
  13. Ya it’s definitrly better than what we are doing. Hard to believe we would score 21 runs this weekend and get swept.
  14. Maybe try Brewer? He’s been solid lately.
  15. Agreed. Actually that wouldn’t be a bad idea having Nathan close. Adding maybe another 1 or 2 relievers with Weight in there could change and improve this bullpen. I’m curious what Cora has to say. He seems to be pretty quiet on what needs changing.
  16. Our bullpen other than Brewer is terrible. Would like to see at least two relievers if not 3. A closer is needed. But the offense did all they could to win. And E Rod was good. This bullpen is so frustrating
  17. Do the same thing as yesterday. Make it close but in the end too hard to over come the s*** this bullpen produced.
  18. Good inning for Wright. Let’s go offense.
  19. Exactly. I really don’t want to. A chance to be embarrassed on national television like this. No thank you.
  20. Don’t worry we will still win a few s*** series against teams like Baltimore and Kansas City. But I know better now. This team can’t compete with good teams. Simple as that. How we won that series against Minnesota is mind boggling actually.
  21. Well said. E Rod was fantastic today. Sale has not been good his last two starts. Porcello was bad yesterday. Outside of Price I just don’t trust anyone right now. The offense is too inconsistent to pick up the slack. This just isn’t our year. Need changes and fast.
