  1. It's decided. Slasher is in charge from here on out!
  2. 8 mill a season seems reasonable and if he wants to stay here like he says he does I don’t se why he wouldn’t take.
  3. Agree with this. Porcello still hasn’t said what he would or wouldn’t take. Having a pitcher who is never injured for a cheap price is hard to find now days. Maybe if they let Him keep his 2 seam fast ball his ERA will be better too. Was strange how he did away with it for most of last year.
  4. Leave him alone. He finished the season good dammit.
  5. Oh.... Porcello, just never heard anyone call him that before. He's so skinny.
  6. Call me stupid from the off season. Who’s porkchop? I’m brain dead lately lol.
  7. ....... I don’t think he’s coming back...... :( :( Kind of like the end of Toy Story 3 when Andy goes off to College and Woody says “so long partner”
  8. Ya, I could see that. And we have 4 World Series now in 15 years. Man oh man how things have changed for the good
  9. With the amount of talent we have and money I considered this season an epic and utter failure. To answer the question though, no if you fall short of winning it all doesn't mean it's a fail season. Look at the Astros. 2 World Series in 3 years and they fell just short this season however that isn't a fail. Still had an incredible season and came up short to a very good Nationals team. If the Sox lost to the Astros last year I also wouldn't have considered that a fail. Actually there were many of us on here that thought the Astros could beat us. Had we won a World Series last year and then won the division this year but lost to the Astros I still consider that a fantastic year actually. But missing the playoffs the way we did with essentially the same talent from the year before that went down as one of the best teams in the history of the sport is an utter failure. I think it's insane that some think we need to fire a manager the second we don't win a World Series. Yes there is big expectations in Boston, and we are not the Jays so we don't expect mediocre play HOWEVER that doesn't mean you fire a manger the first year we don't make the World Series. Some want Cora gone..... So to sum up, this year was an epic fail but if we won the division and lost in the playoffs I don't consider it a fail of a season. Baseball is the toughest sport to repeat for a reason. If someone is expecting us to win the World Series every year they need to get give their head a shake.
  10. Sens have won 4 of their last 6 look out lol.
  11. Because they are silly.
  12. Looks like JBJ is on his way out. https://985thesportshub.com/2019/11/07/report-jackie-bradley-trade-all-but-certain/
  13. Islanders are the hottest team in the league, but can't see them beating the Bruins in a 7 game series. I think the Bruins go back to the Cup this year. Unless Ottawa stops them, bahahahah I made a funny.
  14. Yay he’s staying. Breaking news!!!!!!
  15. True that. Yankees, Astros, Dodgers were All awesome. And I guess nationals lol.
  16. Crapshoot! Just like it was a crapshoot if Ross and Rachel would last in their relationship at the end of friends because they broke up many times before.
  17. It’s a crapshoot Moon. Come to the dark side.
  18. Looks bad without Porcello in there. Unless we get Cole lol.
  19. I hate this time of year, no baseball. I'm gonna rewatch the 04 series against the Yankees and pretend it's brand new
  20. Ya agreed. Sometimes at the end of the day you just have to believe it was the other teams time. The Nats player a good game and deserved it. Astros won 2 years ago and went back this year. Nothing to be ashamed about.
  21. f*** no, but I would love to have Cole! lol.
  22. When it happened, lots were saying they didn't agree. Granted you would think Osuna was a safe choice... he is a deadly closer, but regardless. Don't think it mattered who was out there. Was the nats night. For the record I was against the decision as well when they pulled him, thought it was stupid. And even more stupid we didn't see Cole at all. Not one of Hinch's best games that's for sure.
  23. It was a bad move in my opinion. Go to the Astros board, not a single poster agreed with the decision. And look it was awful.... Regardless don't think it matters.... Astros put up 2 runs... Just wasn't enough to win last night regardless of the pitching.
  24. End of the day you hardly win games with just 2 runs. Astros manager made some bad decisions, but the offense had what.... 15 men on base or more and came up with 2 runs. Astros had their chances to win this by a long way and couldn't. Nats deserved this one.
