  1. Just saw a tribute video for Porcello and nearly shed a man tear. Fight me! I don't care.
  2. Yup, that's true and especially since he went away from the two seam fastball he wasn't very effective this season..... But he usually follows a bad season with a good season so if that is any indicator he should be decent this year. Also there will be no idiots on the Mets telling him not to use the 2 seam. It sucks losing him especially when Sale, Price and Evo are up in the air with injuries and usually fizzle out half way into the season.
  3. Agreed. It’s nice to have low expectations lol
  4. Bruins with 5 straight losses wow.
  5. Is not worth the money Edit: Oh my bad, thought this was a "What do we think of Price" thread
  6. Lmao! His shiny ERA of 6.56 would be a fantastic add to the team.
  7. Most of us would, the other Boston Sox page I am on they all wanted him back at that price too. But to each their own. Sucks losing a reliable pitcher (even though he wasn't great last season) Whos to say Syndergaard will be any better.
  8. Ya fair enough, if we could get Noah Syndergaard I would be happy with that.
  9. I like you Moon and you're a smart man, but I think you will regret saying this if we get someone in Rick's position and they get hurt. With Price and Evo being a bandaid and Sale is a huge question mark right now. We absolutely needed a guy that could just go out there when called upon. Not saying I won't eat my own words if we get someone who pitches awesome and stays healthy but losing a guy like Porcello that never got hurt just sucks.
  10. The friggin Sox better make a move and get someone reliable. And that is absolutely key right now. We need a reliable 4th guy more so than just a lights out pitcher..... With Sale burning out toward the end of the season 2 years ago and then he was hurt and missed a chunk last season, Price is always hurt, Eovaldi is injury prone, losing a guy like Porcello that could go 5 or more when asked to is a huge loss. Ugh
  11. Looks like the Mets are going to get Porcello :( :( Brutal news.
  12. signing one guy doesn’t make you the favorite for anything. Regardless I would be on cloud 9 if we got Cole too. I’m jealous and also threw up from the contract signing. These contracts are insane.
  13. Yanks get cole. Ugh. Gonna be sick lol
  14. Raptors are slumping
  15. Sorry late to the thread Keep both. Problem solved.
  16. I was surprised the Sens made it as close as they did against the Bruins but Boston was tired from back to back games. Most Sens games have been blacked out this year for me so I have been watching a ton of Oilers games. Maybe I should just switch lol.
  17. Agreed with this completely. I was 16 at the time and that single handedly had me hookedon baseball and more importantly the Red Sox. I will never forget that moment. I'm sure the seasons of 67, 75, 86 were exciting for fans then too other than coming up short in the World Series but I wasn't alive then lol.
  18. Yup, they are looking good. Was hoping so bad the Sens could win that game against them but such as life. Sens played a hell of a game. I like what they have for the future. As for the Bruins.... they will compete for the Cup again this year no doubt about it. Islanders and Caps will be their biggest threat.
  19. Lol, truth!
  20. It’s a shame. Some guys just get hurt easy and everywhere. Stops some of the greats from being great. Hate seeing injuries get the best of players.
  21. I’m 5’9. Average height. Huge wiener though. Lol ugh I’m not funny I know anyway, wonder when we will hear the status of Porcello and what he’s thinking. He’s pretty quiet and doesn’t share his thoughts too often. Hard to tell what he wants for a deal.
  22. Ya I can't see him wanting to stay if a team like Baltimore offers him 3 years 30 mill or something like that...... But remains to be seen if that will happen.
  23. And yet strange enough he finished the season solid. Well better than the rest of the season. The guy just doesn't get hurt or seem to get tired. That could all change now but that is all speculation. Going off his past numbers, he is nearly a guarantee to give you 5 innings plus every time he is called upon. Also he seems to statistically have a bad season and then a good season, so going by that formula this season might not be too bad if he works on his mechanics and stays with his 2 seam.
