  1. Nevermind then
  2. We'll definitely check the price on Harden if he makes it through waivers. I don't have access to Breslow's numbers this year but if they're decent I imagine we'll also check on him.
  3. That's the most spot on comment in this thread.
  4. You didn't specify Crede in the best year of his career either, you simply said Joe Crede - a lifetime .250 or so hitter who had one good year and a couple of OK years.
  5. Why not?
  6. Why do you keep insisting that Ellsbury will leave when he hits free agency? We're the favorites to re-sign him.
  7. You're actling like we're in depserate need of a 4th ace when all we need is a 5th starter. We'll be fine.
  8. Sabathia, Wilson, Beuhrle, Bedard... how terrible.
  9. It will also be interesting to see what happens with the backup catcher. They could stick with Varitek, they could sign a free agent like Henry Blanco who plays great defense, throws out more than 40% of basestealers and mashes lefties or they could try Lavarnway.
  10. Besides, we already have Beckett, Lester and Buchholz. It's not like we're in dire need of a top of the rotation starter.
  11. He's unlikely to sign an extension, but he's still likely to sign with us when he becomes a free agent. We have more money than anyone but the Yankees and the Yankees already have a CF who's doing just fine.
  12. It's possible, I believe he also leads the Sea Dogs in errors though. He's still got work to do.
  13. Ellsbury's not getting traded. I suppose it's possible that the Red Sox trade Kalish or Reddick for a starter but I think they'll take more time to evaluate them first.
