  1. Just when I was about to say how good he looks...
  2. Richards definitely doesn't look like his profile picture on MLB.com
  3. Would have been nice to get off to a nice start and give Richards some run support. Or we can go 1-2-3 on 7 pitches
  4. Verdugo is also still DTD. Did not realize that. Should be back tomorrow
  5. Hernandez CF Devers 3B Martinez LF Bogaerts SS Vazquez C Renfroe RF Gonzalez 2B Dalbec 1B Richards P Verdugo is the odd man out against a lefty. Not exactly a tough lefty, however.
  6. I feel the return we got was still worth it
  7. Manny and minor leaguers (Brandon Moss and Craig Hansen) for Jason Bay Not an overly great win for either side, but I'm pleased with what we got out of Bay, especially since the careers of Moss and Hansen never really materialized
  8. On pace for more wins than 2019. Hopefully he can finally get over the hump and crack the 20 win mark. He came ever so close in game 162 in 2019
  9. We have already beaten Glasnow and Ryu this year, and pounded the s*** out of Giolito. That's why you play the games
  10. When has Bloom been known to make a splash?
  11. Nope. Every traditional cable provider in CT carries NESN, YES, and SNY. YouTube TV cut YES before last season, after contract talks broke down. Same thing happened to NESN this past winter. They've brought networks back before, so here's to hoping.
  12. Chris Morocco
  13. If they don't come around, and miss the playoffs, it will be one of the more notable choke jobs/disappointments in recent memory
  14. This is one of the more underrated trades in recent memory IMO
  15. The NL East as a whole is off to a terrible start, however. Wouldn't say the AL East is doing much better though
  16. I can actually watch this game tonight! SNY is the only local network I get on YouTube TV
  17. Not saying much when you look at what Taylor has done, but it sure beats Marrero, who is currently playing for a team called the Mariachis in Mexico
  18. I agree. I still think the Yankees will finish higher than us in the standings. That's the uniqueness of the 162 game MLB season. It's very hard not to revert to your true capability at some point.
  19. I guess Cora playing JD in the outfield on Sunday was prep for this series. No way he can take him out of the lineup for either game, especially with deGrom tomorrow...
  20. During the 9 game win streak, I referred to this team as an "island of misfits". Seems to be true. They are playing with house money. They know that there is little to no pressure on them to go anywhere this year, and you can see how much fun they are having as a result, like with the shopping cart stuff and waving back to the dugout after any XBH. The Yankees meanwhile, look like they have stage fright, or at least that the lights of the spotlight are too bright. Those famous NY tabloids wrote them in as AL champs very early in the offseason, and now that they are struggling, every little mistake gets exaggerated, and you start overthinking the basics. You start trying too hard to win, and that's part of what's led to the HR or bust mindset at the plate.
  21. Wow, that is quite the tree of players. I did not know Ellsbury came from that trade. I bet the Yankees wish we never acquired Nomar, for more reasons than one
  22. Very excited to see Richards hit some dingers to make up for the runs he gives up via walks
