  1. Can we talk about how we would have been in deep s*** last night if Miggy wasn't batting .100? Sad to see, in many ways. Top 3 hitter of my generation.
  2. So many "experts" wrote in the Dodgers and Yankees as the teams that would meet in the World Series. Yankees seem to be turning the corner now, but they still do have glaring weaknesses. Meanwhile, the Dodgers have fallen off a cliff. 4-12 in their last 16. Kershaw got roughed up yesterday in Game 1, and Bauer didn't have his best stuff in Game 2. Beauty of the 162 game baseball season. Those two teams are still two of the best teams in the league IMO, but even the best teams go through a couple of funks during the season
  3. Interesting. I still trust our top 2 guys, but Richards and Pivetta are much more valuable than it appeared in mid-April. The jury is still out on Perez, but it's nice to have 4 other guys capable of giving you a win. When Sale comes back, hopefully that number platoons to 5.
  4. Of the 12 Ks by WooSox batters, Chavis was not one of them. Very encouraging. Duran: 0-4, K Downs: 0-4, 2K Chavis: 1-3, HBP, run Munoz: 2-4 Arauz: 1-4, RBI single, K Houck: 3 IP, 8 H, 3 ER, 4 K, 0 BB It is worth pointing out that Buffalo pitched Nate Pearson, who is down at AAA rehabbing. Expected to be the Jays 3rd starter at the start of the year I believe, before all the injuries to their pitching staff.
  5. I would be curious to see those numbers over the last 2 weeks (if possible). E-Rod and Eovaldi have been struggling, while Richards and Pivetta have turned it around in that time
  6. It's not how you win; all that matters is THAT you win. New day, let's keep it going. It's nice that we can still win games where the bullpen melts down. They won't melt down every night; that's not physically possible
  7. We just need to hold on. The win column doesn't have pictures
  8. At this point, I would rather have Brasier than all these bums
  9. Ugly play from start to finish. Lucky nobody stepped on the bat and broke an ankle
  10. "Well, they're finding holes" - Joe Castiglione Wish I could say the same thing, Joe. Been a lonely 14 months
  11. Don't knock Kike for taking a walk. That's what the leadoff hitter is supposed to do: get on base
  12. I am officially afraid of the 2021 New York Yankees
  13. I'm feeling a blowout tonight. We've responded well after 2 game losing streaks thus far in 2021
  14. Top 5 are certainly not to blame. You have to think Dalbec will come around, and if Renfroe hits .200 with 20+ HRs, I'm good with that. We just have to figure out who plays LF
  15. Wearing my new Sox DRI-FIT training shirt at the gym today. Not sure yet what kind of mojo that is...
  16. Finally a decent lineup Not an ideal lineup, but there's nobody named Franchy in it, so it's good enough for me
