  1. You can't walk Suzuki there. Weak hitting catcher
  2. HR for Dugie, the birthday boy!!!
  3. Especially when they average 1.86 runs in support of Bundy, the lowest in the league for any SP
  4. I like pitching around Trout there. As we can see, we got out of the inning, but Marty needs to throw more strikes
  5. Gonzalez 2B Verdugo CF Martinez DH Bogaerts SS Devers 3B Vazquez C Renfroe RF Dalbec 1B Cordero LF
  6. Very interesting take about ERA. Middle of the road ERA and a top 5 offense is about what most people thought heading into the year. If we're right on those numbers, and 24-16, that's a sign that this level of play can be maintained. What do the offensive numbers look like for the Marlins and Nats, those 2 teams in the top of the ERA category that are under .500? The Nats scoring 17 last night should have an impact on those numbers though
  7. RHP Dylan Bundy (0-4, 5.03) vs LHP Martin Perez (0-2, 4.01) Be aware. Bobby D is coming.
  8. Absolutely. The difference between him and Franchy is that we know what Dalbec can do. It was just a matter of working with him until he got that stroke back.
  9. Too late I'd be willing to trade him to you, though
  10. Very impressed with the game last night. Pivetta and Richards are locked in a tight race for the title of best starting pitcher on the roster, a race I am enjoying very much. Should Cora have gone to Andriese? Perhaps not. Whitlock was unavailable, Darwinzon has been shaky of late, and Sawamura has pitched better recently, but still has been known to blow it up. So, Andriese was probably his most viable options. I don't think Pivetta should have come out for the 7th in the first place. I always like to see relievers come into a clean inning, so I think that might have helped Andriese a little. But how about Ottavino? Striking out Ohtani and Trout in the 8th? I bet that got the crowd charged up. Barnes continues to dominate in the 9th. On a night to night basis, if we can just get to the 9th with a lead, we'll be fine. No, the offense wasn't great, but it produced when it needed to. If we are starting to witness the true extent of what Bobby Dalbec can do, this next week or so could be a lot of fun. The bottom of the order is starting to produce, between Renfroe, Dalbec, and Chavis, if you lump him in with the bottom of the order. It doesn't matter who does what on what night, just as long as we end up outscoring our opponents. But, very happy to see us win a game where the bullpen blew a lead. We know they will blow leads for us, so it's important to grab as many of those wins as possible
  11. Vaz beat that out? Wow
  12. Tatis giving him a good run for his money
  13. This time I'm not. I never understood the hype around him. The media depicts him as the second coming of Jesus. He's good. No, he's great. His game doesn't have any weaknesses. I just don't buy into all the talk about him being the best ever
  14. I miss Butter out there at third
  15. Nice 400 foot out right there. Can Pivetta make it through 7?
  16. O's just took the lead. Orioles 3, Aaron Judge 2
  17. Well, people take bathroom breaks in every sport...
  18. Yeah I don't have many stolen base guys either. Solak and Meadows have come through on occasion in that category, but certainly not regularly.
  19. My annual reminder that I think Trout is overrated
  20. I love how he plays the game like a little kid
  21. Pivetta is a strike machine tonight
  22. Same. Quickly becoming one of my favorite players
  23. Make him pay for some of these walks please
  24. A win tonight and he's on pace to win 24 games
