  1. Yep, no harm done. Lesson learned. Wish you the best
  2. I firmly believe we can get to Keuchel
  3. I wholeheartedly agree
  4. Win. Dance. Repeat. Just get it done.
  5. So.... I just received an email from the UConn Office of Student Affairs.... They're onto me
  6. Fister? I barely know her
  7. If I can say so without being run out of town, I love the effort and passion Springer has played with tonight. I love him as a player as well, not just because he went to UConn, but because of what he stands for. The interview he gave FOX during the ASG while he was playing in the field really made me appreciate him. I read somewhere that it was a big moment for him as well, a kid overcoming a severe stutter to be able to talk confidently on national TV. Gives me hope that I can overcome it some point in the near future
  8. If the Yankees win, I'm gonna be going to bed in a HORRIBLE mood
  9. I hope Altuve gets it all out of his system tonight
  10. All I ask is to not get swept
  11. Turn this into something good
  12. I don't know how I feel about game 2. For some reason I think we can handle Keuchel, but if Pommy decides to give us a very nerve racking 6 innings and 2 runs, I might lose my mind
  13. Not the time to be screwing up Bogey
  14. Looks like it might be a good night to watch football after all
  15. Knowing this team, we'll get our opportunities to get back into the ball game. But, the question is whether or not we will convert those opportunities. That's what sets championship teams apart from playoff teams
  16. As one of my coaches used to say: "Sounds like hits to me!"
  17. Of course I wouldn't cuss though. I don't do that either except on here, which I try not to do.
  18. Get the f*** off me, I'm trying to watch the game
  19. Don't call your doctor if it lasts more than 4 hours. It means we're winning
  20. That's my prediction in the Predictions Thread
  21. I'm not sure how to respond to this. For starters, the post and comments in question should not be taken seriously. As anybody who has been active on this site for the last week would know, the motif behind the material you find insensitive began in a game thread for the game on September 18, as a subtle reference that was manipulated by multiple other posters on this website. Once the Red Sox won that game, it became necessary for me to include that in every subsequent game thread that I started, since that is how the laws of "mojo" work. That win streak turned into a 7 game win streak, with the references become more and more obvious every day. Since that win streak is what earned me the right to create the game thread for Game 1 of the ALDS, a very prestigious honor, I thought it necessary to reintroduce the motif that you and a few others appear to find sexist. Anybody who knows me at all knows that these comments in all of these game threads cannot be farther from my own personal views and women, and gender roles in particular. I'm the shy guy afraid to talk to people. I'm the guy who walks around UConn every day vowing to myself to step in if I see a sexual assault imminent. I respect women fully and completely. I know it can be hard to see on the Internet, and I know it will be hard to believe based on what you read in the opening post of this thread. Most importantly, I respect your opinion as a cautious father of what I am sure are two very wonderful daughters. The behavior that many men impose on women in college is unacceptable in every sense of the word. Please understand that this is not who I am.
  22. And, the easiest way for me to stream is through my phone, so the Wi-Fi better not let me down
  23. UConn TV does not have MLB Network, so I'm stuck streaming this one.
  24. The timing of these two games works out perfectly for me. I get out of class at 3:15 tomorrow, so I'll be back to my dorm with plenty of time to spare. Then, on Friday, I'll be able to get through most of the game, then stream the last couple innings on my way to the UConn football game, but it should be over by the time I get there, unless it's one of our famous extra inning marathons.
