    Big series for both clubs. If the Guardians win the series then everbody in baseball will have to accept them as a legit contender. If the Sox win then everyone in baseball will have to accept that this team is back. Lots to prove for both clubs, should be a good one. Good news for the Sox: Buchholz, Beckett, Lester in that order for this series

    Interesting. Now we have Buchholz against Coke tomorrow (that should be a W) then Verlander/Beckett (if we had anyone other than Beckett on the mound i'd count that as a loss) and then Lester on the hill against the cubs on friday. Good oppertunity to get extend this winning streak to 6 or 7 games.

    As far as Crawford sitting tonight, its not really a big deal. Britton is a lefty who's pitched pretty well this year so we sit Crawford and Drew (2 left handed bats) and bring in Macdonald and Cameron (2 right handed bats) to balance the lineup a little bit. I wouldnt be surprised to see Crawford pinch hit or run late in the game if its close.

    I've also heard rumors that Shawn Marcum is available. He might cost too much to get though.

    This actually isnt a bad comparison. When you look at the Heat, they brought in 3 all stars but left some holes at positons (PG,C). The red sox brought in Carl and A-Gon, maybe throw Jenks in there as a big free agent signing but left some holes (C,SP). The heat were once 9-8 about a 5th of the way through the season. The Sox are 21-20 about a 4th of the way through the season. The Heat eventually got it together found out how to use a team of all stars and became a top contender. The Sox will do the same come the all-star break. They'll figure out the line-up and they'll find a solution to the Dice-K, Lackey problem. We're gonna be fine.

    Wow. Imagine what the game would've been like if Dice-K showed up.

    This is getting a bit out of hand. I'm tired of watching Beckett pitch like an ace, Lester battle his heart out every start and Buchholz give us solid innings just to watch Dice-K and Lackey go out there and look like AA pitchers the next night. If the Sox dont get the last two spots in the rotation nailed down they are going NOWHERE! Unfortunatley I dont see any way to fix this except for Dice-K and Lackey to find there form. Wake defanitly isnt the long-term answer and there isnt a guy in the system who's ready to step up and be that 4th or 5th guy. Anybody have any ideas about fixing this major problem?
