  1. I thought that Cook was going to be in the Roster.
  2. Well, let me recap a bit... we lost D-K, Lackey, Jenks, Papelbon, Wheeler, Scutaro, Crawford, Kalish and now Bailey. Sure, some of them are improvements by subtraction but we expected a lot more from them before were signed regardless they cost us tons of money and are the reason why we didn't sign a couple of extra arms this offseason,... but yeah, probably we'll be ok.
  3. A third opinion? What did the San Antonio doctor say to him?
  4. This is 2012 Boston Red Sox pitching to date.
  5. How many games or what do we need to see to send him back to pen?. Do not take me wrong, I want that he succeed in the rotation if that is the plan for him... but I thought that ST was going to be the go/no-go.
  6. I didn't like what I saw from him this ST and I think he has better chances to succed in the BP. Only time will tell, though.
  7. I agree with this Fred. Send Bard to pen and give him the closer role for once and for all and if Bailey returns give him the set up job, and pray for Cook or other holds up the 5th spot in our rotation. But please... do not convert him SP for 4 games and then send him to pen for 20 games and then, give him a SP role again... You could damage his arm and we definitely do not need that.
  8. Fielder's contract in effect....
  9. I was about to post kind of the same, but I do not want to sound pessimist or be pointed as one. I think that your post is objective. I think some of us have said this, one way or another over and over again. Despite these issues, I guess everybody around here will support this team. Nobody wishes any bad to this team, but the opposite. I think that Bard should return to pen and take the closer role and let Cook/Miller/Padilla etc. win the 5th spot. Bailey seems that going to be out for a long time but at least I hope that everything goes fine with Beckett.
  10. Because our payroll is clogged...
  11. The season has not even started and our closer and #2 SP are among cottons?, regardless Crawford is not ready either. Our question marks were already there, and now this? Unbelievable.
  12. Interesting.
  13. Well, seems like Tito's departure is an improvement by subtraction as well.
  14. As always SCM33 I agree with you. As I said a couple of times, Do not be surprised if Pap ends up his career with something around Mo's line.
  15. Sounds like... Gordon calling Batman...
  16. I've been kind of critical this offseason and on paper I think we just have a team to compete at very best for a WC spot. On the other hand User, call me crazy but I have a good feeling about this team this year. I see a loooong road in the ALE. Even Toronto could be a surprise. IMO this season will be cardiac and very funny to watch.
  17. I do not like how it sounds. We all knew that Bailey somehow had this handicap... Prone to injuries.
  18. Well, some bad decisions will come off the books in 2013. As Pumpsie and some here said, maybe this is just a bridge year and hopefully they will learn from those bad decisions.
