  1. Baseball payrolls are insane.
  2. IMO they will be fine. On the other hand an extra arm would be nice.
  3. You have Carp, Gomes, Nava, Vic, JBJ; probably we need an extra arm… but IMO We'll be fine.
  4. BTW, Doji said that JBJ's ceiling is De Jesus, didn't he? LOL!… he is the floor man!
  5. agreed, but I fully expect a 330+ OBP at least next year, we'll see.
  6. Bradley is going to be better than Ells, I'm telling you.
  7. Put him on ignore and don't lose time getting angry if you are going to bitch about his posts by default.
  8. While I think he wanted to stay in Boston at almost all costs, the key was that everybody thought that Cano was going to resign with the NYY and other than Seattle and arguably a couple of teams more, nobody would have paid him more IMO. As I said, thanks God, we are not in that situation.
  9. Hell, thanks God he already resigned. He signed for 110 M, didn't he? Imagine him as a FA these days… I bet the NNY would have offered him a 140-150M contract. The 1 M question is, would he have turned down a contract like that? I doubt it.
  10. As I said, If he is something between Darvish and Ryu, call it deal. On the other hand, if he turns into a D-Matsuzaka 2.0, that contract will be a disaster. He's young and I have read great things about him (reason why tons of teams have showed interest); seems like he has the stuff to be at least a #2, IDK, only time will tell.
  11. Exactly. I have agreed and disagreed with SS just as I do with all the posters. My point is, if you disagree all the times with someone… move on, as you did. Anyway… I think that all professional players are "show me the money" type regardless they are with Boras or not LOL!, and I don't blame them a bit, It's business, plain and simple.
  12. Sox Sports is not wrong at all LOL. U? has a crusade against him regardless what he posts. It's curious, but I haven't seen Sox Sports replaying him not a single time, but U? insists bullying him at any instance, Why? Who the hells know, it's f***ing sick. If he disagrees in everything he says, why does he bother replaying him?, Jeez! Anyway, out there are very very vey few cases. Most of the times and regardless the sport every professional player is looking as much money they can get, regardless the agent, that's not even debatable. Thing is that Boras has an outstanding track record getting the big bucks for his clients who are usually the top FAs every offseason. On the other hand We do not know with precision, the terms of those negotiations/offers which seem from the outside-in and at first blink more juicy (like probably happened in this case, IDK). IMO Boras f***ed this up big time. I think that he expected more money somewhere else and/or expected the NYY raise the offer, and when he realized that was not going to get more money, he had to sign with the Rangers, which is still a very good offer, but as I said, IDK. Whether Boras/Choo f***ed this up or not, Still Choo is being overpaid.
  13. Not sure, whats wrong with SS's post, Please explain us.
  14. Seems like he turned down a 140/7 LOL! if true Boras is a f***ing greedy bastard. Choo should fire him. I bet he aint gonna get that money anywhere else. Plus, Choo doesn't worth 140 by any means.
  15. When you pay 7 M to a guy like Thorton, speaks volumes of two things: stupidity and wealth LOL!
  16. Yankees Likely To Sign Brian Roberts
  17. LOL! Is D-M still playing in the majors? Wow!
  18. I already did. They are making 90M TV rights+ Fox fee + EBIT/Y (unknown) via RSN. Plus stadium revenue around 471 M (2012) To me, They are plenty "swimming in media money".
  19. Yes they are, I already showed you.
  20. I wouldn't be surprised if an ump called it balk when he makes that move with his feet just before the throwing LOL!
  21. Yankees Turned Down Gardner-For-Phillips Swap
  22. A 100 M/5Y contract would be my cap for him, although it probably wouldn't outbid anyone LOL!
  23. LOL^^^ Anyway and back to topic, I think that we will not see a Cano/Ells/CC/Agons/Choo/etc type of contracts again in our team in the coming years.
  24. I think that neither of us really know who really make the last call for each "good"/"bad" move. Some said that LL was who traded AGON/CC/Beckett, and who is responsible of the new FA signing policy in the Boston Red Sox which was a huge cancer in the recent years...IDK. I think that we have to blame/clap the whole FO, from top to the bottom. Cherries has to be blamed in Theo's last years ternure as well, since he was part of that FO. What is his cut in that blame? who the hell knows… These days the actual FO has done very well and LL & Cherries are part of it. What are their respective cuts? IDK.
