Not sure how this thread turned to talk about Ben, but the whole blame and glory goes to Larry Luchino. As I said, Ben was just a puppet. Regarding Theo, he had great years in Boston --but still LL was the boss-- but his final years he left a mess reason why he is not longer here --neither his boss. Now we have a great GM and Theo is applying the good and the bad lessons learned from LL in Chicago. Back to Devers, I love the kid. We have an encouraging bat for the future at 3B.

Call me crazy, but I believe in our offense as it is. They have scored plenty of runs since Devers and Nunez came up. What worries me is Price's durability. We are done if he doesn't come back strong for the rest of the season. Eduardo and Porcello are a mass of inconcistencies, and we just can't go with Fister every 5 day.

As I said, Barnes never ever has to be sent in high leverage situations in late innings. He sucks.

We won but we are playing s***** baseball. This way to play goes to the coaching staff. Horrible fundamentals. They better put their s*** together. DD's moves at offense are kind of working... Devers and Núñez are hitting. Moreland at this point is useless, so use Hanley at 1st and DH with whoever else.

We can split his numbers all day long. He is a 4.5 ERA pitcher who allows tons of runs. He sucks, plain and simple.

Not sure about Moreland but Benitendi definitely must play everyday.

At this point what would you do? An elite bat would likely dry what is left in the farm. Listen, Devers is crushing the minors and he wil likely continue to do that, so there's no reason to keep him there. Would be a waste. I say, let's see what he got. There's nothing to lose and there's no way he can't do it worse than Marrero and Holt.
