  1. Definitely. Kelly's problem is in his head. The stuff is there. Cora definitely will help here, in fact, I'm certain that Cora had a lot to do with Kelly's PO magnificent performance. Geez, Kelly has a FB that can post 100 mph with a lot of movement combined with a solid curve ball and change up. You don't find this in trees.
  2. IMO resigning Eovaldi is the key to be successful next year. A rotation with Sale, Price, Porcello, Eovaldi and E-Rod arguably could be the best in baseball next year, of course if they stay relatively healthy.
  3. While Kimbrel was a stud, his declining is around the corner. We already benefited of his prime, IMO it's the right time to let him walk. If we resign Kelly, he could be in the mix with Barnes and Braiser to take the job.
  4. It could go the other way too. Ex. The Sox should have won game 3 of the WS. In the end the best team won, and it was not even close.
  5. It probably speaks volumes how weak Atlanta’s divisions were those days.
  6. I think there’s not out there a better team than this 2018 Red Sox in baseball history. This team won 108 games and literally destroyed 2 100+W teams, and was way superior than its rival in the WS. Arguably the path to win the WS this 2018 was the toughest in PO history on paper. Also, in POs their dominance on the road was without precedents, I could bet. They won 11 and only lost 3 games in POS against heavy weight caliber teams.
  7. Alex Cora is the perfect combination of an old school baseball manager and a sabermetrician geek. His philosophy also covers those intangibles like human factors, locker room chemistry, player convincing & motivation, delegation, etc. which are fundamental to run a baseball team. We are in good hands with him and DD.
  8. I've been here for a while, and to me talksox has become part of my daily basis activities LOL! Forum has had ups and downs but always well monitored and moderated mainly by youk and recently by JB44 who was a huge addition for the board as a mod. Sometimes I can't post as much as I would like but I'm always alert.
  9. Actually the original idea was to go to Boston with a friend but it got complicated since his job, so I decided to go to LA just like that once they won the second game of the series LOL! I was very confident that we were going to clinch the world series in their park, so I said, it could take another 3, 5, 10 years or so to see them win another WS and in person, so I couldn't miss the opportunity LOL!. As you said, once in a lifetime experience.
  10. I was at Dodger Stadium in game 3 and that error by Kinsler in the 13th inning was something you can't put in words —beyond frustrating; mentally and physically I was done LOL!. We spent 9-10 hours at Dodger Stadium, considering that we arrived like 2-3 hours earlier, not to mention we had to walk like 3 miles or something to get there and another 3 miles to get back to the airbnb place we were staying since the uber service just collapsed in the zone considering the demand, plain crazy. We finished devastated that day, I literaly couldn't feel my legs LOL! When Kinsler blew it up with that throw, after 5-6 hours there, my wife looked at me with anger because she wanted to leave mostly because that day was her birthday and we planned to go dinning after the game, plus we went with my 2 YO little boy and the weather didn't help –it was little cold and windy for us. In the end we stayed there all the game and while it was really frustrating it was a great experience.
  11. Bingo! I think this is right. Red Sox are set to win again in 2019. I think they will resign Pearce and Eovaldi. They will see what Kelly is going to ask and let Kimbrel walk. This team will be a serious contender again.
  12. Would be great Ted. I think I could have more certainty about the dates and games I could assist in late February. I'll let you know. Regarding the WS I went to games No. 3 and No 5. Game No. 3 seemed that was never going to end LOL! We arrived to Dodger Stadium 2 hours before the game and it last 7 hours or something. So I was there for 9 hours and 18 innings, it was plain crazy LOL! I remember that we were 1 strike away to win in the 13th I guess, but Kinsler blew it up after a bad throw. Regardless the outcome that game was a great experience. We lived history. I went with my wife and little boy who is 2 YO. My wife doesn't understand too much about baseball, so she just couldn't believe that it took that much time LOL!. I had the opportunity to meet a couple of very nice old school Dodger fans, who btw were filling the box score in paper. Loved it, you don't see that much these days in ball parks. We shared some beers and a very nice baseball talk. Game No. 5 was majestic from the start after the 2 R-HR by Pearce. After the HR, the Dodgers and their fans were done, I can tell you. From that point to the end of the game, everything turned sweet unlike game 3 which was 100% tension all the time. Also, unlike game 3, in game five you could see tons of Red Sox fans. I guess Dodgers fans were not confident anymore with their team after a 1-3 series, plus the tickets weren't cheep by any means, so a lot of Red Sox fan could assist in more quantity I guess LOL! This game was very fast, but I stayed there one more hour to see the celebration and enjoy the chant and party of other Red Sox fans. In game five I went alone. On Sunday we went to Disney in the morning, and my wife wanted to stay there with my boy, so I went alone to the game, I guess she didn't want to experience another 9 hours in a baseball game LOL! The trip was a great experience. We had the opportunity to assist to a Lakers game and visit some places in LA like Melrose, downtown, outlets, etc. as well. It was my first time in LA. Watching your team at the Stadium winning the WS on the road, is definitely priceless. It was one of my greatest lifetime experiences. You just can't put in words the feelings after the last out. Every cent worth it.
  13. I would like to join you guys. I've been in opening day, great regular season games, this time in a WS, and now I'd like to go to ST next year. Hopefully we can match the dates.
  14. Thank you guys, this is just beautiful. Whata game. Whata team. Just wanted to say hello to my talksox friends. Iortiz never forget.
  15. David Price, ladies and gentlemen. Talksox mojo via iortiz at Dodger Stadium LOL! A lot of Sox fans around btw.
  16. Thank you man. I’m form Mexico City, my first time in LA to see my Sox — in a WS.
  17. iortiz and Aztec Gods at game mojo in effect.
  18. Id put Mookie at second. That would be a bold move by Cora.
  19. Cora is hungry and that my friend, it’s his secret weapon.
  20. Seems like we are going to win the WS in LA, and guess what, I’ll be there. 2 more boys! We’ve got this!
  21. I thought I was banned LOL!
  22. Cora is always 1 or 2 moves ahead against his rival. Crazy.
  23. Finally a clean 9th inning. 116 down, 3 to go boys! Aztec Gods power in effect LOL!
  24. This is definitely a gnome battle LOL!
