The fact that we have blown 10 games is the main reason we are in this position. Give me 5-6 games of those 10, and we would be fighting for the division and leading the WC spots.
It's funny, the BP has been above average (aside the 9th inning), the offense while inconsistent, has scored a lot of runs and the rotation has been stable after April.
Said that, the key is to find out a reliable closer in the current staff or via trade if we want to compete the rest of the season. We still have a chance and time to right the ship. We have a lot of talent in this team.
The only one who doesn't have a shot to close this season is Heath Hembree who btw has been very solid and reliable in late innings. Who knows, maybe he could turn out into 2013 Koji 2.0. Remember how Koji took the closer job in 2013? Yes, by committee!
I still have faith in this team and the FO. We are still the goddamn champions with practically the same roster. Cora and the FO will push the right buttons.
