    I have to double-check but I think Sale doesn't have a lot of innings this season. ...and here comes Cora, but let him finish LOL! Guy is a winner and Cora respected his hierarchy. ...and while I was writing this all these happened and Sale gets the job done. Good! Go Sox!

    Another meaningless hit for JD that helps for his numbers but close to nothing to the team. This year he is not the clutch hitter he used to be in 2018. Hopefully he explodes soon.

    Is it just me or Chris Sale has a lot of 2 strikes and 2 outs in the count before he's pounded this season. Geez, I have a lot of flash backs of these which could have ended in nice innings.

    Yup. This offense is elite and is close to 2018. Offense isn't clearly the problem.

    The way I see it, the main problem in the first half was the SV%. Geez we are the worst team in that department. Give me an average SV% and we were fighting for the division. DD addressed that by adding Cashner and moving Eovaldi at closing. IMO it can't be worst than we have seen in the first half in that regard. Also we are still in the mix for a WC spot, and it's not like CLE, OAK, TB, etc. don't have issues.

    Lets not forget that he is here to take the NO. 5 spot. If we are expecting something better we are fooling ourselves. Said that IMO Cashner is a good addition for that role.

    Personally I hate those invitations which are not related with the game or baseball. It's junk talk.

    The way I see it, it's between choosing 1. putting the ball in play in one opportunity and if it doesn't work trying to make a hit in another opportunity or 2. making a hit in three opportunities —not to mention that a wild pitch or a passing ball is latent in the first option considering the high leverage situation.

    The thing here Bell, is that you just needed a run to win the game. Odds say, they walk Betts with Raffie and JD coming and Hernandez at 3rd with one out. I’d rather this situation any day of the week than winning by a walk off. Also, Floro was done... so putting the ball in play with Devers at plate was very very affordable IMO.

    Yeah, the front of the squad has been performing awful. We need Price and Sale to turn around in the second half. Good thing we are still in the mix at least for a WC spot.

    Cora lost this one. Hernandez should have bunt and Betts or Devers would have made contact to bring the run. Instead Cora of course wanted to win with a walkoff, whata clown. Said that, DFA Velazquez he’s done and btw JD hasn’t been a clutch hitter this year.
