    5 2/3, 3 ER 6, 4 ER with 8 k's and the last 2 runs came on a HR when we were up by 11 in the 6th 8, 4 ER against one of the best offenses in the NL. Seems pretty solid to me.

    Not his fault for taking the big money. Contrary to popular belief on this site, John Lackey is a capable ML starter who despite a rough start last year, pitched more like himself in the second half and this year I'm sure his wife having CANCER was a bit more of a priority than baseball. He was solid in all three starts prior to this one. Over the course of a season in which a guy makes upwards of 30 starts, there is going to be a few rough ones.

    Has Lackey really been that awful? He's been exactly what we paid for. An innings eater and a #4 starter. Today is a rough outing, they happen.

    I apologize for my frankness but can everyone in here please chill the f*** out. This sort of thing is gonna happen. Lackey's been nothing but solid since his return from the DL and we can't go out and blow people out every day. Lackey is fine, he's a good pitcher and this team is fine.
