    He has played SEVEN (!!!!!!!!) total games at 3B in his minor league career. 7. And we won't call up Bogaerts or Middlebrooks. This is one of the more infuriating decisions the FO has made.

    We all do realize that Bogaerts is a SS first, correct? As in, if we bring up Bogaerts, he can do virtually the exact same thing that Holt is doing now, which is playing 3B and being the backup SS.

    Wouldn't be surprised if Aramis Ramirez gets through waivers. May be interesting, he's probably going to be coming off the DL soon, and would certainly provide some good RH pop if the Sox decide to go with a proven veteran at 3B. I also wonder if he could transition over to 1B next season, since he's under contract for next year too.

    Plus, to be fair, Middlebrooks is starting to heat up. He's hitting .299/.353/.468 in his last 20 games with 3 HR and 4 2B.

    Exactly. I mean, I would like to see Bogaerts because he's the shiny new toy, but I'd be perfectly satisfied with Middlebrooks. Just get someone up here who at least threatens to hit the baseball.
