True, but these are the types of pitchers that we feast on. Behind in the count, no put away pitch, even at 0-2 or 1-2, we're not in horrible shape. Young guy who will miss a good bit with poor location. Like you said. No guarantees, but I like our chances.

All I'm saying is that even his sub-par 3.75 ERA is way over his head. He walks a good amount and strikes out very few.

Tyler Chatwood: .200 BABIP, 92.6% LOB%, 4.50 K/9, 4.50 BB/9, 3.75 ERA. How is it possible to strand 92.6% of the runners you put on, allow a batting average on balls in play of a mere .200, and STILL have a 3.75 ERA?? Oh. 2.25 HR/9. Oh. 20% HR/FB rate. Sox hit 4 bombs tonight. Chatwood doesn't sniff the 6th.

DAMN YOU!!!!!!!!! But seriously. All I hear from my Yankee fan friends is how good of defense Cano brings. He's only had a positive UZR one time in his career, 2007. It's ridiculous. Pedroia > Cano.

Who would you rather have? Past 3 year's stats: Player A: Games Played: 386 (missed 1/2 of a season due to injury) OPS+: 118 UZR: 15.9 WAR 14.9 Player B: Games Played: 480 OPS+: 117 UZR: -14.6 (that is negative 14.6, to be clear) WAR: 11.0 For the record, WAR is a stat that is generated using UZR as a reference. UZR increases with each game played at a certain level of defense. Player A missed 1/2 of a season, thus both UZR and WAR were both negatively affected. So, do you want Player A or Player B?

Exactly. What a crazy turnaround. First 12 games - Starter ERA of 7.18. Record: 2-10 Last 5 games - Starter ERA of 1.15. Record: 4-1 Hell. Our entire staff ERA over the past 5 games is 2.30. Pitching, Pitching, Pitching. Oh, and we get 7 straight RHP starters to face coming up. Crawford is about to get white hot. He crushed a couple today against a solid LHP.

Disagree. The Sox aren't going to sacrifice playing time in AAA for Iggy to sit in MLB. Scutaro will be on the block, but Tejada or Navarro will come up and fill in as the utility IF.

Exactly. The ump pointed at Cam calling him out on the swing, then signaled safe as in "no interference" and then the 2nd base ump looked at home plate, which I thought was to see if the home plate ump called the strikeout or a walk, so the home plate ump signaled out, and the 2nd base ump assumed it was interference. That's what it looked like to me, anyway. Boy I'd hate it if they actually walked 60 feet a piece and talked about it. But that would never happen. That would actually require exercise.
