  1. So Jenks and Papelbon are not available tonight. That means we have Wheeler, Albers, and Bard to keep us in the game after DiceK leaves. It's times like this that I absolutely f***ing despise Okajima. I don't hate Wakefield, but that guy is a completely wasted roster spot. Rather than Oki and Wake, we could have Aceves and Atchison, or Aceves and Hill. And I have confidence in all 3 of those in a 1 run or tied game. Seriously. What the f*** is Okajima's role? We already have Wakefield for mop up duty. Why the hell is this guy on our team.
  2. Hahahaha. But seriously. If it's MVP Baseball, it's still the best baseball game on any system. I can't believe EA Sports sold the rights to MLB games to 2K. Eat a dick, EA Sports. That being said, I love Madden and NCAA.
  3. Yeah it does. You're just not drinking enough.
  4. Just for the record. I've posted the line ups the past 3 days. I know there's always the game thread starter mojo, didn't know if that also applied to posting the line up.
  5. RED SOX (8-11) Ellsbury CF Pedroia 2B Gonzalez 1B Youkilis 3B Ortiz DH Lowrie SS Drew RF Crawford LF Varitek C Pitching: RHP Daisuke Matsuzaka (1-2, 6.43)
  6. Wonder if Ellsbury will lead off again tonight. He was on base twice last night in 5 AB, so that's pretty solid. A .400 OBP, may as well stick with it I'd say.
  7. Couple of things. -Salty is hitting .400/.455/500 in his last 3 games. Maybe he's starting to figure it out. Rough game yesterday defensively obviously. -Youkilis back in the line up tonight. He is 2/4 against Santana with 2 BB. -Lester's pitch count seems to be getting high early. Regardless, he's got a 2.59 ERA right now. Last year, he had a 6.23 ERA in his first 4 starts. Had he started last season like he did this season, he would have ended the season with a 2.86 ERA. Could this be his Cy Young year? -Gonzalez's numbers right now are pretty similar to those as of April 22, 2006. He had 1 HR, 11 RBI, and was hitting 306/.375/.444. This year, he has 1 HR, 9 RBI, and is hitting .267/.353/.400. Gonzo ended 2006 with 24 HR and 82 RBI with a line of .304/.362/.500. Still, I'd be shocked if his power didn't pick up soon, but as it is right now, I'm really anxious to see him break out. - Last time DiceK threw a 1 hitter, he followed it with a 4.2 IP, 8 BB, 2 ER outing against the Royals. DiceK has never thrown at Angel Stadium. Lets hope for better results tonight. - In the past 7 games, our starting pitching has combined for a 1.19 ERA. With an offense that isn't clicking, the games have been closer than they should be, but we're still coming up with wins. - The Red Sox are 4/31 (.129) over the past 2 games with RISP. Abysmal. - I'll end this on a good note. All I heard last week was how "You can't win the division in April, but you sure can lose it" and that since the Sox started out 2-10, they were going to have to "play .620 baseball to win 95 games". They were going to have to play at a 101 win pace for the remainder of the season to win 95 games. Well f*** them. Because we just won 6 of 7 and now guess what. We only have to play at a .608 pace to win 95 games. Thats a 98 win pace, and this offense hasn't even started to click. So f*** all the naysayers.
  8. 2011 Record: 8-11 6-1 in their last 7 Get the hell out of the way, this team isn't even clicking.
  9. f*** YEAH PAPELBON!!!!!!!!
  10. :clap::clap::clap::clap::clap::papelbon::clap::clap::clap::clap:
  11. Wow Papelbon. Miss that spot much??
  12. :papelbon: TWO MORE!!!
  13. WTF just happened. That little interview with Don and Jerry made it sound like the game is over.
  14. Our offense is worse than Pawtucket. How is it possible for every single player not named Pedroia or Lowrie to be so f***ing cold?
  15. We'll score a couple runs this inning.
  16. Wow. Just beyond all reason.
  17. WTF. They're intentionally walking Salty to get to Scutaro?!?!
  18. Les go Crawford. Drive in that run!
  19. Albers at 95? Thats pretty good gas. I'll take that from him. Now. If only our LOOGY didn't have a BAA against Lefties of .297 with an OBP of .367
  20. Jenks is available today I believe.
  21. f*** I thought that had a gap.
