  1. Where did you see this quote? That's really strange. I'm telling you, they're about to make a big move in the trade market.
  2. I noticed this as well. Originally, I thought it was in an effort to expedite the game. Boy was I wrong.
  3. It's 3 AB, I think he got fooled on that last ball.
  4. Damn. A 22 game hitting streak. That's crazy.
  5. Somehow Gonzo just looked overmatched.
  6. Gonzo can't catch up to that 84 mph heat.
  7. Oh hello 96. It's been a while.
  8. So, on a side note since we're in a rain delay, has anyone done p90x? I started it today, and holy s***. The ab ripper x workout is beastly. I was struggling to do like 1/3 of the reps.
  9. To me, the best way to determine home field advantage would be for the league with the best interleague record to get home field advantage.
  10. I know that, but with 20 games in 20 days, I wouldn't be surprised if he got a spot start, and I think tonight would be a great spot for him to take Lester's start and bump him to a day where the conditions are a bit better for someone coming off the DL.
  11. I honestly don't think it would be a bad idea to start Weiland today and Lester tomorrow. You got a wet, slippery mound, I don't want Lester to be up and down and trying to throw after resting for 45 minutes, and you're going up against Kyle Davies.
  12. Ya know, this could be a bit of a blessing in disguise. Having a top arm in the MLB extremely fresh for October is nothing to sneeze at. The fact that the Sox have been able to win games despite his absence is fantastic, but it would be even better if he was able to come back and have little to no fatigue in October.
  13. I don't see it happening. This Sox team is white hot, and Davies has a 7+ ERA. Plus Lester on the mound against the Royals offense? Man. I don't see it.
  14. Dude. That's why they're going to go get Carlos Quentin. Ellsbury Pedroia Gonzalez Youkiliz Crawford Quentin Salty Scutaro Pitcher I would feel a hell of a lot better with that lineup than I did with: Ellsbury Pedroia Gonzalez Youkilis McDonald Salty/Tek Cameron Scutaro Pitcher
  15. I think they know that they're about to make a move and they don't want to waste an option. What's very interesting is that the deadline isn't until Sunday, and you know that they won't go more than 1-2 days with a 24 man roster, so something has to be right on the fringe right now. The more I think about it, the more I expect something to happen by tonight. Then again, they could be waiting to see if something that is in the works right now pans out, and if it doesn't, they could call up an OF from AAA today or tomorrow.
  16. I think it's really, really strange that the Sox have DL'd JD Drew and have not called up a replacement for him. I can't remember a time when they've ever gone into a game with a 24 man roster, but that's exactly what they're doing today. I think the Sox have something in the works that is very close, and I think it revolves around a RF. My honest guess is that they're going to shock everyone by doing one of two things. Either they're going to trade for Beltran, or they're going to trade for Quentin. And I see it happening in the next day or two.
  17. Fixed. And he's seen multiple doctors who all say he's going to have to just bear the pain and throw through it. by the way, his session is tomorrow.
