It is a big if, but it was a knee strain that got him earlier this year, not his shoulder, which is a huge positive after all the problems he had the past couple seasons. I'm anxious to see how Bedard performs, and if the Sox will ease him into the rotation via a game vs CLE, or if we're going to throw him in with the wolves against NYY.
Personally, I think he needs another rehab type start before we can let him go into a division game. Throw him Thursday vs CLE, then bump Lester to Friday vs NYY, and we will have Lester, Lackey, and Beckett going up against the Yankees.
