    Feels too much like April around here. One run completely deflates this thread. Our offense hasn't been struggling fellas. We're going to score runs.

    32 pitches isn't bad for 2 IP. :dunno: If you can average somewhere around 15-16 pitches an inning, you've got 7 IP in 110-120 pitches.

    Nice first for Beckett. Leaving a lot of stuff up in the zone, though. Gotta get his fastballs down. Score a few runs here and cruise in this one.

    You're delusional if you think that Francona won't start Aceves just because Papi mentioned it. That's incredibly stupid. Francona has been stating for weeks prior to Papi's sound byte that Aceves would be a great starter but he is so valuable to the bullpen. It's not like Ortiz just randomly opened Francona's eyes. If he starts Aceves, it's because Francona has weighed his options and thinks that, at this point in the season, we gotta have a SP more than that 7th inning guy. And Buch could have a huge impact on that decision. But dear Lord. To imply that Francona will intentionally not do something just because he feels like it wasn't his idea?? That's so dumb.

    I'm completely comfortable in a short series when we throw Beckett and Lester 4 times. And I'm comfortable in a 7 game series when we throw Beckett/Lester/Bedard/Aceves-Buchholz piggyback. Or hell, even throw Aceves-Buchholz piggybacked as your #3. You can't put into words how important Buchholz would be to this team out of the bullpen. If he can come back, we can slide him into the 7th inning role. When we use him in the 7th inning, we can use Aceves as our #3 starter and Bedard as our #4 starter in a long series. You can pair up Buchholz with Aceves and let Buch go 2 IP, and make a hell of a starter out of that combo.

    They should start going to New England Baptist. That's where the Celtics go. And that's where my wife just got a job :thumbsup: But I have no bias toward them Seriously though, she'll be involved with a lot of ortho surgeries they have there, involving some of the Celtics too.

    Between the misdiagnosis of Ellsbury last year, the rash of injuries this year, the promotion of the deal for Bedard, and demotion of the deal for Harden, our strength and conditioning staff has got to go.

    It's a shame guys like Barnes and Ranaudo are so far out, and that our other guys like Drake Britton, Stolmy Pimentel, and Felix Doubront didn't take the steps forward that we hoped.
