    Even in September, at his worst, he only K'd 27 times in 69 PA. He's now K'd 16 times in his past 28 PA. Salty has gotten smashed in the head quite a few times this year by foul balls. I'm not making excuses for him, he's sucking. I'm saying that giving him a couple of weeks may be good for him. I'm not sure how this translates to me making excuses for him. I'm suggesting a way to get him out of his funk.

    Cook isn't getting NEARLY the calls that Axelrod is getting. And it's not close.

    Salty has got to be hurt. I mean he is striking out at historical rates. It may be a good idea to DL him and give him 15 days to clear his head. He's gotten beat up a ton this year. Bring up Lavarnway for a few games.

    This guy is Ryan Dempster/Jair Jurrjens 2.0. The Sox cannot handle these pitchers. It's no help that Diaz is giving him 4 inches on either side

    Salty stabs at wayyyyy too many pitches. He is not smooth at all when framing pitches. In fact, I think he takes a lot of calls away from pitchers because he stabs at it and it takes his glove out of the strike zone on borderline calls.
