    The Red Sox got De La Torre (high 90's, high K rate) for Lillibridge. The Red Sox got Zack Stewart and Brent Lillibridge for Youkilis. So....they got more for Lillibridge than Youkilis. Oye.

    Does it bother anyone else that the Red Sox got a better return for Lillibridge than they did for Youkilis?!? De La Torre has a 2.91 ERA over AA and AAA, throws in the high 90's, has a great arm.

    Sox at the Phils/Brewers game tonight. Everyone thinks they are there to see Grienke. I think they're there to see Lee.

    It will be interesting to see how Buch does tonight vs a stout lineup. He could well be our ace next year, and rightfully so.

    The guy throwing against the Sox tonight, Martin Perez, was the #31 prospect coming into this season. He hasn't been very good this year, though. 5.2 K/9, 4.1 BB/9 in AAA over 15 starts this year. Patience, please. Lefty that throws 93-94 according to Brooks. We'll see how it goes.

    Yeah. I'd trade Ellsbury to the Marlins. For Mike Stanton. But nothing else. I'd give up Barnes/Bradley/Ellsbury for Stanton. But they wouldn't want a 1 year rental of Ellsbury.

    He was fresh off TJS. He actually returned in like 9 months, and anything you ever hear about TJS is that you're not completely right until the 2nd year.

    He'd be a bit of a gamble, fine, but when he's healthy he's an absolute ace. EDIT: And you could probably get him at the same or less value than a guy like Grienke, and you'd get another year out of him.
