They don't battle at the plate at all. We have way, way, way too many 1st pitch swingers with Salty, Gonzo, Ciriaco, Aviles, Crawford, etc, so rather than pushing the opposing SP pitch count up during the early innings and getting to a fatigued pitcher by the 5th inning, they're watching the pitch counts creep into the 90's in the 7th, when the opposing teams are comfortable going to the bullpen because they're not going to burn out the bullpen if they're only asking for 5 or 7 outs.

If the Red Sox stand pat at the deadline, you better get Lavarnway, Alex Wilson, and Iglesias up to Boston on August 1st. You cannot have a s***** offseason like last offseason, then have a s***** regular season like this regular season, and then have an even shittier trade deadline and not even bring up the kids. That's just giving the Sox fans a big F You from the FO. I mean honestly. The Sox hit .210 this series. And Middlebrooks went 6/12 on the season. That means the non-rookies likely hit under .200. That's pathetic. Again. Bring up the freaking kids. I'm tired of Aviles at SS. Give us SOMETHING to get excited about.

Sox have scored 3 or fewer runs in 16 of their last 22 games. The offense has been absolutely pathetic. Absolutely pathetic.

Nava replacing Crawford in LF again. I mean seriously. Why the hell do we even have him? Just give him the freaking surgery. You're going to take out a guy who, if he gets on, can swipe 2nd and generate a run in a 1 run game because you're scared that he's going to blow out his arm?? If that's the case, then just freaking give him the surgery!! That's absolutely pathetic.

Beckett should have been pulled before the Young AB. 110 pitches after a hit batsman and a base hit representing 2 of the last 3 hitters? You do not leave him in. Not with the game on the line with a RISP.

Pathetic. Absolutely pathetic. With the outing that Buchholz has had tonight, that f***ing run should be meaningless. f*** you, offense. Seriously. f*** you. This is just as bad as the SP giving up 5 in the 1st.

So, the Rangers call an emergency starter who has a 5.98 ERA to start against them. They score 1 run in 7 IP. Then they call a rookie starter who has a 5.54 ERA in the MLB this year and over a 4.59 ERA in AAA. They score 1 run in 6 IP. That's freaking pathetic. What an absolute impotent offense. It's absolutely unacceptable, too.

Crawford looking inside every single pitch. Getting pounded away. Fouling off bad pitches on the inside rather than taking them. And striking out on sliders. It's a simple formula. Crawford needs to adjust and shoot the ball to the left center gap.
