  1. You think he owes us a little loyalty ? Well paid as looked after while spending a lot of time out injured......... I am nieve but I still don't understand the free agent mentality of players What the diff earning $120m or $100m? Obvious answer is $20m but what diff will that make to your life? None in my opinion Players should be considering playing where they are happy/family settled etc rather than moving to LA (hamilton/pujols etc) cos there some extra money that make no diff to your life I think Ells owes the sox at least a friendly negotiation
  2. In no expert with the numbers and stats but I think he's playing great, getting on and stealing bases, maybe not showing the power bat he seemed to have in 2011 Big contract would also be risk given his time on treatment table but a risk worth taking in my opinion
  3. Seen 1st 5 innings and very impressive again, absolute rockets from Napoli On this season's form Clay must be pitcher in the majors right now
  4. Most sox fans I speak to say its over and he'll go with ready made replacement in JBJ, in the understanding his next deal will be a poor one for the the club paying him I'm not to sure and think we should be making an effort to keep ellsbury at Fenway How do you guys think we will play this one?
  5. read that online last week good article
  6. where has his power gone? still hitting for average and knocking in plenty of doubles where have to HR's gone? opposite field power? too many hitting the monster my bet on him to lead majors-obviously the betting slip is now in the bin, but also have gonzo in a match/spread bet with a mate who has taken mark texiera
  7. Yeah, he was and hope he's the same this year, clay at his best and rotation will be excellent
  8. our pitching in better shape than a lot of people think, bard been excellent, throwing hard and accurate, impressed also with doubront, both very unluck to lose and will win more than they lose if they continue to pitch the way they have lester and beckett looking good, aceves will make great closer, think paddilla will make good releiver need clay to improve, lot of experts were saying clay was lucky with balls in play in his excellent 2010 season and expected to regress, hope this is not the case all in all happy with the pitching very impressed with bard, excellent performance today, mixing 98mph fastballs and 80mph off speed stuff will lead to wins
  9. red sox detroit angels WC's yanks and texas Braves (yes thats right the braves) cards Giants WC's phillies and dodgers
  10. i know:D i put a line through him before season got under way, still dont see a detroit player topping the majors although cabrera topped am lge in 2008 but with only 37 winner will come from ALE becasue of the ballparks in my opinion you think gonzo can knock in 40+?
  11. i put a line through detroit players based on their ball park
  12. i'm on at 16/1 again as prince to a harder ball park, pujols to face harder pitching in tough div for hitting jose always a danger but was reading a projection for gonzo that says he'll hit more HR's this year and happy to take the 16's could have done it last year but had poor april for HR's then started banging them in, more used to the AL pitching too
  13. alright mate? where in scotland you live?
  14. how can you put them in? my team on yahoo C Brian McCann 1B A. Gonzalez 2B kinsler 3B Aramis Ramirez SS Alexi ramirez (waiting on scutaro on waiver) OF Crawford OF jason hayward OF Andre Either DH big papi BNCH erik aybar (waiting on lavarnaway on waiver) BNCH ausitn jackson SP Weaver SP holland SP jurrgens RP jordan walden RP Aceves RP N.feliz P clay P Buehrle P Cahill (waiting on jason bay on waiver) P salas (waiting on scutaro on waiver)
  15. do they usually improve in 2nd season in am lge? anywhere i could read about players who switch and how they progress? tried google but as soon as you put in words "switch national lge to am lge" it brings up a million stories about astro's pending switch reason i ask is gonzo, with Pujols and fielder moving to less favourable pitching or grounds there could be some value on gonzo for HR leader at 16/1 gonzo could have had a decent shout last year if not for poor start a few hitting the monster rather than sailing over it
  16. I like inter lge play and think there should be a little more than there is now, this week saw 2 clubs rich in baseball history come together at fenway There is usually some interesting series come out of it, phillies/texas and the NY teams this time round, also enjoyed sox going to citizens bank pk last year Would agree AL is stronger so in theory should suit AL teams
  17. No small threat either, a terrorist orginisation responsible for many deaths in the past said 'you play you die'
  18. Needs to stop hitting the monster, over please gonzo:D Wether he leads majors or not, fantastic talent, a joy to watch I think he will lead sox to WS:thumbup:
  19. Unbelievable from bautista, still fancy gonzo to catch him tho Pitcher need to start walking this guy!!!
