Hanley wanted to come back. He's pretty much done at SS. That left 3B, but we had Panda. So they asked him if he would play LF and he was willing to try, went through a lot of work during the winter in the DR. Can't fault him for the work ethic. But it's not going to happen overnight. Boston is NOT the place to plant a complete novice in LF. It's going to take time. Will the experiment succeed? Will he create more runs than he gives up?
