I would bring Ross back, even missing a month he was productive. Almost 25/100 at a bargain $3M last season. His price will start at around 7M. 3 Year of that is a drop in the bucket for this team. Plus he could be move quite easily in trades when Brentz get promoted.
A-Gon is difficult to replace. just cuz he has a down year doesn't mean he's replaceable. He was leading baseball with a .400 BA with RISP, yes ask Gomez, Loney or Napoli to do close to that.
There's no way Sanchez goes that low. He's better than Lackey and Burnett, who got 5/85M, he's pushing 5-6 for 90M+.
I would not want a pitcher approaching 30 on a 5-6 year deal.
Angels gaf there. They should pick up his option and spend the next few months looking for a trade partner. Seems like they were dead set on that deadline.
getting Ortiz and Middlebrooks back is a huge upgrade. Lester and Buchholz stepping up is another. Still around 80+ wins if that is the case. Need to add a reliable SP (Sanchez) and the BP need to remain strong. Both closers had ERA around 6 and 7 won't cut it.
Add a bat (Napoli/LaRoche) and OF (Ross) would put them into a WC team. Still long way to go to be a division winner in the East. That happens when they have a so called 'ace' starter.
