    How does everyone feel about Andrew Bailey? He stunk high heaven last season. Always loading up the bases. If he is on the DL opening day, he should effectively and permanently loses his closing job on this team.

    Marcum is another guy who is still out there and be sign for much, much less than Sanchez/Jackson/Dempster. I personally would like him over Dempster.

    He needed a reset and they didn't give him that, one of the many annoying things on the list. Also wasting Tazawa with 45 innings pitch for AAA. When a starter or a player isn't right, he is usually shut down. They didn't give Bard that chance. Might prove be huge mistake if by spring he needs TJS.

    His problem was pitching with a windup and going back to the stretch and forth. He had no consistent release point. I think he is salvageable.

    Not even close. First he need to settle at #2 first. He hasn't come close to being a dependable #2.

    TJS is very common these days. The Red Sox also had 3 of their guys went through it recently. Bailey is just a chronic problem. a 3.5M contract is a drop in the bucket. The team will benefit great if Madson pitch to his potential, and lots of post TJS guys do, especially relievers taking less time to return.

    Why they didn't shut him down is just another long list of what went wrong with the management. He obviously needed to completely revamp his mechanics. This is done by not letting him pitch a few weeks. They just dragged him out and he continues to show no sign of improving.

    I take the guy like Madson over Bailey anyday. Baily get hurt sneezing or wiping his ass cuz he can't reach all the way down.
