It's not like we're littered with OF on the roster or minors. What if Betts or Benintendi suddenly can't play? The OF would dwindled to 1 starting OF. -
Smoke and mirrors! Barnes is not a reliable guy. He always has issues with control.

Shaw was the best Red Sox 3B since Youk/Lowell (not counting 1 year Beltre). What a circus that position is allowed to become.
