  1. Its scary how close this game was, despite no Billups/Amare. A win is a win, but I'm not liking the Celts chances in the second round.
  2. I think I finally figured it out. Theo is sleeping with Salty's wife.
  3. Jed is leading off again!!!!
  4. All this Lackey criticism is overblown. 1) After taking a few months to adjust to this new environment in 2010, he pitched to career averages after the All-Star Break. And despite some popular opinion, he didn't face pushover teams, he pitched against NYY, Tampa, Texas and LA during that stretch. 2) He has a 5.00+ career ERA in April. Yeah, Lester isn't the only one who struggles early. If you've seen him pitch in 2011, you can tell he put a lot of work in this offseason to get into good shape. 3) He's a good pitcher. He's had two bad starts. Get over it.
  5. Crawford and Lackey are two of those baffling signings that drive us all crazy, but help the team a lot more than people give them credit for. Unfortunately, their crummy starts to 2011 have made it much more baffling than usual.
  6. Two huge miscalls that went against the Pacers tonight. Something really needs to be done about NBA refereeing.
  7. Ugh. I should probably tell my boss I'll be coming in late every day this week.
  8. Normally I agree with this completely. It is usually all about luck and circumstance, and most competent catchers would have very similar ERAs if catching the same pitcher. What I'm suggesting is simple: Salty is not a competent catcher.
  9. A-Rod -- 1.321 Lowrie -- 1.320
  10. Great quote: "Boston Jed Sox"
  11. I'm a little concerned with Ellsbury's approach though. He only has 10 hits, and 4 of those are homers. He also has 10 Ks. I'd much rather see him trying to get slap hits, bunts, and do his damage on the basepaths instead of swing for the fences and hit .200.
  12. Dice-k is throwing a one-hitter... why pull him?
  13. Besides HeartBreak, it isn't really that difficult a course.
  14. Wooooah, he broke it by nearly a minute. At Boston. I know the weather was good, but that's getting awfully close to the 2:00 mark.
  15. 5 pitch inning for Dice-k. He could go 8 today.
  16. He's only owned in 8% of yahoo leagues. I wouldn't drop my primary SS/2B for him because of the injury concerns, but I'd take the production now while its there.
  17. I just added Jed Lowrie to ALL of my fantasy teams. 2B/SS eligibility hitting like that? Yeahhhh
