Salty is hitting .285 with RISP???? He's hitting better with RISP than Pedroia AND Lowrie. Damnnn. I'm going to stop bashing him until the rest of the offense picks things up.

The caught stealing statistic includes throw outs by the pitchers. Of the 6 CS Salty "has" only two of those are his.

Gammons mentioned that Federowicz is the strongest possibility for internal options-- he calls a great game, and has a good arm, and couldn't possibly hit any worse.

I'm starting to think it would be better for this team if Tito simply said "You're not going to bat in the same place two days in a row. I'm putting the best lineup on the field for the given pitcher, and base things on the momentum of each player." If each player gets into the mentality that they're not going to have to have stability--or, that they have to earn stability, like Pedroia, A-gon, and Youk seemed to have-- it'll go a long way for the offense.

You know, its getting almost humorous... In 2010, he had the 11th highest WAR of any player in the major leagues, pitcher or hitter. This year, he hasn't even played like the 11th best player on this team. Maybe when we actually see what he can do, that'll change our story.
