I think there is a chance. Lee should be able to get through the 5th and 6th, relatively unscathed but the 7th and 9th innings will be a challenge, and he needs his defense to stay behind him, plus the usual luck.

And why do you say that? The only reason why no moves were made last year was because the front office didn't see any reason to waste the prospects considering that five key players spent the season on the DL. They've made a ton of big trades the last few years. 2004 Orlando Cabrera, 2007 Gagne, 2008 Bay, 2009 Vmart all come to mind.

Mcdonald has a .900 OPS against him, and Cameron has a 1.333 OPS against him, and they're both RHH. Francona is a complete f***ing moron, and someone should seriously go punch him in the balls, because this s*** is pathetic. It is going to take a CG SO from Beckett to win this game, because essentially, the Sox have only 2 hitters, since Youkilis and A-gon won't get a single pitch all night.

Two and a half years of Hunter Pence will likely be costly, even if he is getting into later arbitration years. I think Theo will be looking for someone who is at the end of their contract, but if they could get Pence for Kalish +1, it might be worth it. @ SFF it looks like he was a super two in 2010.

I see Jenks and his 6.5 ERA as a bust, and Aceves as a 6th inning kind of guy. I do find Albers intriguing, but I have a hard time feeling confident that he will shut down the skanks in the 7th inning of the ALCS.

Cliff Lee is a lefty... that does not bode well. If Dar-fail and Topeka Bluehair star Mike Cameron are in the lineup, Tito is going to take hell from Talksox tonight.

I think the Sox like their depth enough to go with what they have. Miller is probably #4 here to stay. #5 will be decided between Wakefield, Doubront, Tazawa, Aceves and Lackey. I think there is enough there that one will strike gold at some point.
