  1. I missed it, what did they trade, and what did they get?
  2. I'll take the under. May 15st. I could very easily see a player getting hurt, and the Red Sox getting desperate for someone, even just to pitch 60 innings.
  3. DOUBRONT!!!! Beautiful game, hope you stay a while.
  4. +1 I'll take ANY pitcher who can give this team 6 innings and 3 runs.
  5. Sweet! The Red Sox have had some of the worst outfields in baseball the last few years, so I'd love to see that change.
  6. I'll take 5 innings 3 runs from Doubront any day of the week.
  7. Doubie has five in him tonight.
  8. He hit .804 OPS against lefthanded pitchers last year, and a .774 OPS against them in his career on a team that seems to can't find a quality right handed outfieler to save its life. He's a platoon option, that unfortunately has see far too many injuries in the outfield. Hard to blame him much more than that.
  9. If a bad inning from Doubront is 1 run, who cares? FYI, the bottom three batters in the order for the WS are absolutely terrible haha
  10. Byrd did not get a good read on that ball at all.
  11. Adam Dunn is back to playing at his career averages. Did not see that one coming.
  12. Oh. Humber threw a perfect game last time out? He'll get crushed by the Sox tonight. Non-elite pitchers always get creamed the game after a no-no.
  13. Just five more runs, and this lead will be safe.
  14. Its pretty ridiculous how good this offense is, despite Ellsbury and Crawford out. Plus, the two weak links Youk/Salty have replacement beating the crap out of the ball.
  15. Stick your head in the sand if you'd like, but everything that has been said and written in the last six months say he's the reason why half the pitching staff gained significant weight and stopped listening to the coaching staff. And he never denied any of it.
  16. Beckett is a loser. Not a guy you want anchoring your team. They should have traded him away when they had a chance.
  17. Probably because the Red Sox actually lowered their luxury cap cost by trading for him. And he's still better than Lin.
  18. Good enough for me haha
