This. I don't care if the Red Sox are 20 games out by the end of June. If they drop some of the spoiled veterans to get some of the future stars in, I'll stay entertained all season.

Best case scenario : Gonzalez gets injured, 15 day DL. He takes an extended break in AAA, gets his timing back. Returns to the Red Sox. The Red Sox learn. He never plays OF again.

I'm starting to get concerned that WMB may be optioned to Pawtucket when those player return. Would it really surprise anyone to see that happen?

He's perhaps the most talented player on this team, and it seems like all his stuff is still there. When he stops pitching like a loser, I'd agree with you.

I am truly ashamed of Lester. After starting his career as a hard working, no-******** kind of player, it seems like Beckett has rubbed off on him in a big way.

I'm really curious... will Scott Atchison be worth a quality prospect at the trade deadline? He's such a sell-high kind of player... but I have the feeling there aren't going to be many relievers available this year.

Adrian Gonazalez really needs a break. He went 0fer in 5 of his last 6. There isn't a single player in baseball that plays every single day, why does he seem to get to break the trend when he's killing the team? I'm not even criticizing him, but Daniel Nava has been having a better season offensively and defensively than him, so I just don't understand why he can't get a day or two off.
