  1. Tito would be a great fit for the Cards
  2. They're still the AL Champs for the second straight year
  3. s*** happens, rainouts really hurt the Yankees in the playoffs this year too.
  4. Carpenter isn't very sharp on short rest
  5. He's still going to suck when he comes back in 2013
  6. Winning the division was always expected of the Yankees. First round exits in the playoffs was never acceptable for George, he even threatened to fire Torre if they didn't make it to the ALCS in '07. Perhaps reaching the WS every year is a bit much, but I think they need to at least win a series in the playoffs for the season to be considered a success.

  8. Seriously, dough is even listed in the Dictionary itself as slang for money.
  9. I'm pretty sure Pujols will stay with the Cards, Matt Holliday even said he'd defer money to help keep him.
  10. Well they're already paying a setup man more than most closers make, so why not? They could double the current payroll if they felt like doing so. Yankees annual revenue is in the neighborhood of $600,000,000
  11. Cards in 6, Pujols is extremely hot right now, not to mention the best RH hitter since Joe DiMaggio.
  12. No team has EVER failed to make the playoffs with a 9 game lead in Sept....until the Red Sox did, and it was a team that was expected to the best in baseball.
  13. He's still better then any other pitcher that will be a FA this off season, aside from possibly Yu Darvish. I doubt Boston would invest in another Japanese national treasure so soon though.
  14. Imagine if Theo fired Quade and hired Tito as the Cubs manager.
  15. I called it after game 2 the Cards could knock out the Phills and sure enough they did. These Philly "Dream Teams" don't live up to expectations, first the Phillies and now the Eagles are in pretty bad shape.
  16. http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_io8I84mKkTs/S_WActbNDCI/AAAAAAAAAjU/PIqg-u9VFJc/s1600/sarcasm_sign.jpg
  17. You don't even have a High School Diploma and you're calling nearly every Yankee fan on this site idiotic? good one
  18. That had nothing to do with it, his excuse for not signing with the Yankees was they were getting "old"
  19. Hahaha karma's a bitch, Cliff Lee thought he'd get a free ring going to Philly.
  20. Brewers advance to the NLDS
  21. First and foremost, what is CC Sabathia going to charge us to retain his services for the foreseeable future? Nick Swisher. Exercise the option? Offer extension? Let him walk? Russell Martin. No doubt in my mind we keep him on next year with the fantastic job he did behind the plate in 2011. Jorge Posada. Solid as he was as a LHB against RHP, I think Posada's time in pinstripes is finished. Best of luck if he wants to give up the honor of playing for one team his whole life to play as a bench guy on an also-ran team for peanuts. I don't see the Dodgers able to extend Matt Kemp and Andre Either. I could see Matt Kemp wanting to test the waters of free agency. Does this make him a trade & extend target if we can get a window? Yu Darvish. Now theres a tempting guy to go after. Our biggest rivals couldn't possibly post a ridiculous bid, considering it blew up in their face when they 'won' the last one, but they will be reeling from The Collapse and likely in need of a starter. They'll have some money to spend with guys coming off the books, the question is how much? CJ Wilson. They say he's the best available guy if CC doesn't opt out. I prefer to stay away given his age, but he could be worth a look. Prince Fielder. This man could break Bonds's single season record in Yankee Stadium. But would he come to NY to be an expensive DH? Would we even want him? Money better spent elsewhere if you ask me. Albert Pujols. No chance here, but imagine. Aroldis Chapman. Rumor has it the Reds want to clean house. Cashman passed on Chapman the first time around. 3 years and 15 million left on his contract. Curious what he would cost. I imagine a deal for him would be more than a salary dump, but less than a prospect bidding war between contenders.
  22. 10-1 lol Tigers getting owned
  23. Granderson with another amazing catch!
