think about this his need to score every single point has gone down. he is not the Star on the Team with ONE player we have THREE. Look at Kevin Garnett he has a scoring avg of now 18 and below since coming to the celtics. Paul pierce hasn't averaged what he had before the arrival of KG and Ray Allen.

Well of course when he was in the Top 15 there wasn't Lebron James, Carmelo Anthony, D-Wade, Chris Paul, Derrick Rose. He had great players to contend with but IMO the players now are better then he is. he may not be in the Top 15 but he is still near the top.

i have already said he is not as good a player as he once was but not by that much. i mean his age would hinder a team from building around him from the ground up. If he was 22 and playing the way he is now i would have him on my team in a heartbeat. and as he is now and the current age he still is a great player and would definitely be on my team.

if we don't have him are we as good? IMO that is a big NO. The Celtics needed him to win the championship and need him this year.

yeah okay. you make me laugh. he doesn't get as many shot attempts but is still able to drain the same percentage for the past few years.

never read them. and i bet there is a few gms out there that would take a chance on him. i think that his play is not as great as it was but he is still pretty damn good. i think that he could play even better when he is not overshadowed by PP and KG. they do but Ray allen still has a lot in his tank. IMO

when a player starts to deteriorate in his play. When his shooting percentage falls horribly and he cant play worth s***. when a player looks lost on the floor. LiKE SHAQ. lol

twilight is a joke. he shots the same FG percentage but scores less points. that is because he came from a team where he was the center piece. he had the best FT % in his career last year. he had one of his top 3 point percentages last season. how can you say he is the twilight of his career. He is not in the twilight of his career. You could still build a team around him.

yeah ray allen is not in the twilight of his career. he is still a great SG and can still shot really well. plus he free throw shot ability is near perfect.

Pettitte is gonna bring all that is left of what he has got for this year. Pedro who is on regular rest has a slight edge IMHO. Doesn't mean it will turn out for the best but if he does another game 2 and Howard and Ibanez gets hot at the right point this could go seven. As for charlie manual letting Lee out for another inning is beyond me. i understand the yankees still were not out of the game but he needed to go to the bullpen. save lee for bullpen help. maybe he should be their closer when he isn't starting. 4 out of every 5 days he closes.

i think you are the one who needs further explanation in the reasoning. Do you really want Gabe Pruitt Or Eddie House running our offense. What i said was that we do need him at any cost because he runs our team. without him at all i think the Celtics are no where near as good a team. Rajon Rondo is the Best PG the CELTICS HAVE. Not the best in the NBA. his ability to pass the ball around with the precision that he has is a necessity to this team. he mid range game has improved over last year. His game is getting better. I think that Rondo is like Jason Kidd without the wife beating. if you agree with that then why in the world do you have an argument in the first place Kidd- last year 21.4 million dollars. i think Rondo the young player who has been in the league a few years and is a good player. should make atleast half that with Rondo's skill-set. Not only the defense he brings to the Table. His offense will be there as the time comes but right now his job is not to score but to feed the other players on the court. Don't Forget to mention that he is a really good rebounder for a guy who in NBA terms "short." He is always around the ball and keeps the upbeat pace of the Celtics. If we let him go even with the Big three this team does not do as well. I was reiterating my point by saying who would you rather at the PG position thats on the team. Was Gary Payton our last best player. a player whose career was ending that year. Who is before that.
