Nothing much this morning. Rosenthal says Red Sox should give up Bogaerts for Lee, much like they gave up Hanley R. for Beckett. He doesn't say that Epstein didn't make that trade for Beckett--in fact, he probably wouldn't have. He didn't like to trade top prospects.
If the Red Sox do a deal for Lee, it will probably come from Henry-Lucchino, as most things of this size do, anyways. And, if you believe that rumor, it will involve Bradley, not Bogaerts.
Even if they get Lee, they are still vulnerable to LHP, in my view. They don't have Manny and Lowell. Though they could be better if they brought up Middlebrooks and Bogaerts for platooning vs LHP. They know they have a problem, which is why they are trying to get Young. But Young has never been a power hitter.
