  1. yeah i joined a little less than a year ago so im still pretty green, but thank you it is very much appreciated
  2. oh im in the navy and we compete with other navy bases in the area in Softball, Basketball, and Flag Football and the only one they will let me play is softball ha and im not good enough to be starting at my natural position, 2B so i am the starting RF/backup 2B. Some of these guys were all-american high-school guys who just werent quite good enough to play college or get drafted so i guess im lucky to be on the team.
  3. yeah i played church softball Junior High throughout my senior year in highschool and i made quite a few web gems at 2B with that glove, which is good because i was never much of a force with a bat, i could somewhat place a softball in the outfield but i just cant hit a 7MPH arched softball over the fence very often, but i was a GG 2nd basemen (in church league softball)
  4. I wasnt really trying to debate how anyone felt, it had to hurt and i doubt that any yankees fans can say it didnt but i was more trying to point out the satisfaction of all those coming to the park during game 4 having to deal with the smug fans of their hated rivals as what seemed like another season ended in dissapointment at the hands Yankees unfolded, getting to watch as their team of self-proclaimed "idiots" pulled off an amazing 4 game rally to complete an amazing series in baseball history. Maybe 01 did hurt worse but i wasnt posting this to jab any yanks fans i was posting this to bring back great memories for every sox fan who got to watch the hurt of 86 years of dissapointment dissapear for atleast a moment. it wasnt for any yankees fans who may be haunting these forums...
  5. Im not completely sure why that was much of a debate, I think that both are Tier 1 firstbasemen, even if it does put a bad taste in my mouth saying that Tex is anything but a failure after going to the evil empire.
  6. hey, I wouldn't be upset if Tex got the nod over Youk because they are both All-Star caliber players and GG firstbasemen, me personally I'd take Youk in a heartbeat and I like to think that its not just because his sox are red but its not like Tex is a bad 1B they are both deserving
  7. yeah i got C-Mauer 1B-Youkilis (maybe a homer pick in some peoples eyes but its not like he is out of the discussion) 2B-Kinsler 3B-Longoria SS-Jeter OF-Bay OF-Hunter OF-Suzuki NL C-McCann 1B-Pujols (could it be anyone else) 2B-Utley 3B-Reynolds (you dont have to agree but i like this pick) SS-Ramirez OF-Dunn OF-Braun OF-Ibanez You might not like my picks but thats the beauty of being able to vote, I get to pick whoever I want.
  8. Congratulations you are the hero of a nationa ha...
  9. oh morrow can be tough but he is in consistent starting, thats why he's been in the bullpen
  10. I was looking back on some of the old posts from the 04 ALCS and I can't tell you how warm and fuzzy it makes me feel as i could slowly feel how the Yank's Pompous smirks:harhar: were slowly wiped off their faces as the sox achieved the unachievable. I just thought I'd get some nostalgia going since it's now the coming up 5th year anniversary of that glorious year.
  11. Oh i plan on holding on to it, its still in great condition now, i just grew out of it after a couple of years.
  12. yeah there is no way Texas lets go of Kinsler thats just wishful thinking on my part but its still nice to dream about...
  13. thank you all im really enjoying it here...hopefully ill be contributing for a long time to come
  14. that sounds about right but i still make the bed sheets sticky thinking about Mauer's name on our roster. Him and Ian Kinsler, do you think Kinsler could Play 3b or SS?
  15. ill stifle my hate for lugo for now
  16. who is leading off the 11th?
  17. Bay needs to have some of what they gave Papi
  18. praying to god they didnt put him on with the bases juiced with no outs
  19. Pedroia looked like he wanted to punch lugo in the temple on that catch
  20. damn...i gotta leave in like 15min. im going to miss the rest of this one
  21. it took 12 innings against these guys to wake us up...and a poor performance by sherrill
