    "Lowrie has been rehabbing his surgically repaired wrist in the minors, but was hit in the back of the knee by a pitch last Tuesday. He had two at-bats Sunday before removing himself from the Triple-A Pawtucket's game. He sat out Monday." Per Rotoworld.

    It would appear to be friction in the joint, since they injected him with a lubricant. I'll definitely be keeping an eye on this, but Francona said worst case scenario he goes on the DL for two weeks to give his hip some time to heal. Doesn't sound like it's anything that could keep him out for an extended period of time.

    Manny always used to rack up the assists in left field and he had a HORRIBLE arm. It's because left field is so short in Fenway and balls take all kinds of strange bounces out there so baserunners often get caught off guard. The most advanced defensive stat we have (UZR) has him as well below average. And Zone Rating has him as the third worst LF in baseball.

    He is a below average defensive left fielder. Doesn't have the greatest speed out there. Still, he can make some nice plays.

    Gotta love Lester. He finishes out June with a 1.85 ERA. Feeling pretty good about this Beckett/Lester thing.

    I have a tip for you. Chill. Remember how adamant you were that Drew isn't a leadoff hitter and we shouldn't swap him and Pedroia in the order? You got pretty upset about guys saying that and look how it turned out. This is the internet, don't take everything so seriously, mang.

    This is just like when the "rumored" Mitchel Report was "leaked" the a day or two before it was supposed to be released and have the Red Sox team was supposedly on it.
