    Beckett, you disappointed me. Not just because you weren't hot, but...5 HR's? Sigh. Not looking good. But at least there were some amusing Yankee error moments. Not to mention, Phillip's trading theories.

    No offense against the man, since I don't know him, but omg, as an announcer, Joe Morgan makes me want to shoot myself. I had to unwrap myself and log in just to say that. The other two are endurable. Beckett didn't get angry enough I guess....at least the team's keeping things in range so far.

    I can't wait to see Wakefield back. I've really missed his presence & will miss him even more when he's gone/retires. I will hope for a great performance for him. I won't be GT'ing much today, seeing as how I'll be mummified in blankets on the couch for ESPN's broadcast and won't want to move. Har. I want this matchup to be as interesting as we're all hoping it'll be. Let's go Beckett!

    One thing's for sure, you can't say they didn't give Penny plenty of time to prove himself. As usual, I wish him luck if he ends up elsewhere, but I won't miss him. Another Globe article had: “We didn’t feel comfortable after [Friday] not having somebody in the bullpen with length,’’ said Francona. “Losing is terrible. Ruining your bullpen’s worse, so we want to protect that as much as we can.’’ Yeah...missing Masterson a bit now, are we? Definitely need some BP guys that can serve that role.

    With the SF Giants actually having a shot at the NL wild card, last night was disappointing. I'm still dreaming of a redsox/giants WS so I can go to a game. That would be so awesome. Someday.
