Wow! Good people take care of good people. You are very fortunate to be with them. Enjoy the hell out of the experience. You can take time of from your job, can't you?
Ha ha! Go anyway!!!
On a selfish note: Does this mean that we won't have your contribution on the board for nine games? That will suck. Have fun!
Not really. Other than Bailey and Tek, everybody is on an upswing.
After further thought, sure would be nice if Youk was in the lineup. Since he can't be, and the starter for Seattle may be a stiff, this is a best case lineup.
I don't think Papi will be sent to Pawtucket unless it is for "rehab" subsequent to a report of injury. By the way, Pawtucket is about 45 miles south of Boston and is very much in the lime lite. The Providence Journal and most of the Rhode Island media swarm big name players that do a stint with the Pawsox. Certainly, the Boston media would be on top of his situation there.
I've been on the dump Penny bandwagon. But he has been O.K. the last two outings. No worse than Beckett or Lester. I'm kidding about him being the Ace. Right now he is carrying his weight (no small task) when other starters are not playing anywhere near their potential.
We're all hollering for Ortiz to be moved down or to be benched. I don't see it happening just yet. Francona has a history of sticking with slumping players. Pedroia came alive after a slow start his rookie season. I don't see that happening with Ortiz. When will Francona do something?
Historically, the Sox have left a lot of men on base. I guess if you're a glass half full person you could be happy that they were able to get that many men on. Not me. This lineup is weak now.
Youk will be back but I'm afraid we've seen the last of Ortiz's production.
