Oh. You mean to say Nomar. Edit: Nomar still can hit. But the Sox have enough walking wounded. The net gain would be negligible. Nice idea, though.

Detente. It's a lovely thing. Seriously, it's good to see intelligent debate and discussion with out it all turning ugly.

I've been concerned about the Sox bats for several weeks. Pedroia, Drew, Youk, and now Bay. Their slumps have come at a time of unfortunate convergence of circumstance. It seems that with the injuries and facing unfamiliarity pitching ( the young arms we've seen in the last 5-6 series) have conspired to negate our normally potent offensive attack. I really don't know for sure. I just want it to end very soon.

I find the civilized conversation between a Sox fan and a Yankees fan unusual. But refreshing. I see the Yankees prevailing 2 of 3. The Angels are battered and the Yankees are still hot. I hope the Sox can find a way to clobber K.C. pitching. It would suck to go into the break a couple of games down.

There's been quite a bit of skepticism about Lowrie here at Talksox. I don't get it. I'm concerned only about his wrist and it's impact on his swing. I think he's an above average short stop defensively and when he was healthy showed a promising bat. He may not be all-world, but he is talented and a gamer. I think he will be contributing when he gets back. Green seems to have earned a spot on the roster. I see Lugo as the odd man out. But what happens to him? Do the Sox eat his contract?
