  1. I haven't looked at the schedule past this game. But I was concerned about Buck. Failure would not have been good for him. I'm glad that he looked pretty good. Bard looked good too, from what I saw. He's my man! I have not looked. Did the Yankees loose!
  2. I actually saw that! Milar has grey in his beard! Ha! He's getting old too! Still love him, though. Paps with two down an no one on in the ninth. GAME! 4-1.
  3. I have to sy that I anticipated Bucks start with some trepidation. I am VERY pleased that he did not get lit-up. More over, He "did Good". Whew! Let's close it out. Did Milar make an appearance?
  4. I'm back and not in jail. Thank you Destroyah and Dutch. Looks like Buck did OK? What, 5 2/3 1 run? How did he look?
  5. I'm hoping the situation has been at least temporarily diffused. I'm being harassed by a young man that lives with his parents. My Ex-wife (with My Daughter) have moved in with them after the judge booted her ass out of my house. Now this 23 y.o. "boy" has been texting, calling me with threats. He follows me in his car. The police have warned him twice to not have contact with me. He ignores what they have said. I have no experience with anything like this. But I have been talking to the police and they have been helpful. This kid defiantly has a hard-on for me.
  6. You said it. I have a domestic situation here. I may have to call the police and miss more of the game.
  7. Not Likely. It was interesting to hear what Theo had to say. Kind of unusual to hear him (a G.M.) accept responsibility for the mistake of signing Lugo.
  8. Kim Katt doing color for NECN. I'm old enough to remember seeing him play for the Twins! Man, am I old.
  9. GREEN! Nice play. And an encouraging start by Buck. He did not get lit-up.
  10. I'm always saying this, but hitting is cyclic. He'll get back on track and finish up at about .280. I f***ing hope so!
  11. This could get confusing for an old fart like me. We have 2 Destroyahs in the house tonight!
  12. I am so thankful to have a game to watch tonight. My 6 y.o. Daughter is here with me tonight. I exerted my Parental authority and exiled her to the bedroom to watch TV. This is great. No more Hannah Montana. Just the Sox in HD! Gametime!
  13. Who else is ready for some Sox baseball? I need a f***in' fix badly!
  14. As the Ramones would say "Glad to see ya' go". We all rag on the guy. Sometimes justifiably so. Still, I don't think he really did anything wrong while with the Sox. Other than not preforming at a level commensurate with his salary. I believe he tried to play well. He just was not that good anymore. He played decent to very good ball while with the Devil Rays. But started really sucking in L.A.. I have to question why the Sox had such a raging boner for the guy. 4/36? What were they thinking? I'd feel kind of sorry for the guy except his problems are very minor compared to those who are truly unemployed. A $13.mil Golden Blanket can sooth a wounded ego.
  15. There is a very good article today on Boston.com written by Tony Mazz. It details how Sox pitchers attack the zone. It has interactive graphics. I'd post the link, but suck at that sort of thing. http://www.boston.com/sports/columnists/massarotti/2009/07/how_red_sox_pitchers_work_the.html I hope this works!
  16. I think that Lugo will get looks from many teams if he in fact is DFAed. He may not be worth $9.mil/yr. to the Sox, but would seem a decent investment at the Veteran Minimum. By all appearances, he can still hit. And I believe his range MAY improve if his knee continues to heal and get stronger. At the same time, I would not be surprised to see the Sox DL him at least until they have a good indication of what Lowrie and Lowell will bring.
  17. I saw 4 at bats for Lowrie tonight (Pawtucket). He struck out twice and flied to center twice. He was robbed on one of the fly balls. It was going to be a double to the wall. The pitcher for Indie was dealing. He had a 2 hitter through 8 innings when I stopped watching. Lowrie also dropped a fly ball near the foul line in left. E-6.
  18. I understand. You're glad that the FO actually did something. I was kidding.
  19. I guess this qualifies as a major move for the Royal's FO. I'd be really excited to watch Betancourt too if I lived in K.C.
  20. Thank you. My spelling/typing leaves much to be desired. I finally have mastered Lowrie.
