  11. Rain in K.C. E-Mail|Link|Comments (0) Posted by Adam Kilgore, Globe Staff September 21, 2009 04:26 PM The tarp is on the field at Kauffman Stadium, and it could stay there for some time. There is a flash-flood warming in some parts around here, and a few weather forecasts say there is 100 percent chance of rain until 7 p.m. local time. There is a chance tonight's game will be postponed, and it's a near certainty we will not begin on time. You can see the radar map for the area here. Not good news.
  12. I still see the Yankees winning the division. It would be nice if the Sox could overtake them as it would allow for home field advantage. I just don't see it happening. In the last 10 games the Sox are 9-1. While the Yankees are 5-5. The Yankees have just hit a rough patch. I don't follow them closely so I don't know if there is an organic reason for their slump. I suspect that it is just their turn to slide. They still have the best offensive line-up in MLB, IMO. To think that they will not be able to produce in the playoffs is foolish. Good pitching is good. But you can't shut that team down for long. As for the Yankees pitching, 1-3 are good enough if they are pitching up to their potential. The pen may be their downfall.
  13. He'll be back.
  14. Wow. Texas sure has gone backwards. 8 back in the WC race. Too bad.
  15. Sox win, 9-3. Dice was meh. Which is much better than he has been.
  16. I love the Pedroia/Gonzo combo.
  17. I hope Dice doesn't f*** this up. I'd like to see 5 strong innings. Six may be to much to ask for unless he gets gets a short inning. 9-3 Pats at the half.
